So this morning we are off to collect 2 female Guinea pigs who will be joining our family at the farm. ❤️

I will post about them once collected - please note we are now completely full and will not be able to take on any more at this moment in time.

We need to raise some funds to add on some more sheds to be able to open the doors for more animals that need us.

I’m going to post pictures of all the smaller animals today (guineas and rabbits) who are all available for sponsorship - sponsor ship also includes x2 visits a month to come and see your animal for a cuddle and love - this is perfect for anyone wanting a Guinea or rabbit but unable to have one at home. At just £15 a month! 🥰

Hello everyone - so as you all know all my animals I have I take on due to them needing help/homes …. Most of the smaller animals have come from situations where they need more space/ attention/ companionship and have so far thrived in an environment that I have been able to give them.

I do my upmost to assure that I can offer them love and meet their needs.

My goal has always been to be able to help as many as I possibly can - I do this by running session and sharing my love of these animals with you guys.

NONE of these animals would be at the farm if it wasn’t for your continued support.

So the meaning to my post is I need your help …..

I’ve been asked to take on 3 rabbits - a bonded female pair and a single male who needs some buddies asap.
They need a home and they need a family - which here at Finleys farm I can safely say that’s what we are we are family. And these guys deserve a chance.

My problem is all 3 need vaccinations and castrations - each vaccine per rabbit is £80 alone.

To be able to take these guys on I need as much help as possible, £240 just to have them vaccinated- a vaccine they so desperately need to keep them safe.

I just don’t have the funds to be able to pay for that on my own straight away but would still love to be able to offer them a life with us.

So I’m attaching some pictures of said rabbits and bank details in the hopes I can raise some of this cost to be able to help them.

Hello everyone - I just wanted to come and write a post regarding cancellation as sometimes my posts get missed on the group page ….

I have to have a 48 hour cancellation policy in place when doing sessions due to limited spaces and making sure I still cover my costs for the animals …. Honestly I really don’t like having to do it but with the costs of these animals I have to protect them and make sure I’m earning enough to keep them fed and meet all their needs.

Within the 48 hours I’m happy to swap sessions or give back a full re funds no problem at all as it gives me enough time to re advertise that time slot.

Being a one to one session Farm it’s not open like other farms we have to cover these costs and not just that but pay the girls that take your sessions also.

Most businesses have cancellation policy’s in place because the cost of running any business is so high now. But especially with livestock involved I have to keep them fed.

Yay mr max has now been discharged after weekly visits with his tear duct issue - he had it flushed out today to check it wasn’t still
Blocked which is now isn’t!! 🙂

5 days left of 3x a day drops and painkillers and he should be right as rain! 🥰

It’s been a challenge keeping it clean and treated - anyone who knows what rabbits are like will understand 😂 but he’s been such a good boy!

I’ve attached his final bill in the pictures of £48.76 if anyone could spare some pennies to help with this I would be forever grateful 🙏 after the large bill with the new rabbits vaccinations etc any donation would be so helpful so we can continue to help these animals and more who need us ❤️🤞

The new guys having an explore of the big shed today, so lovely to see them have space to flip and play around, I’ve sat with them to give them company and cuddles as well 🙂 - tomorrow they are booked in for their vaccinations.

We have a the funds sent through for one of them already but needing to find £80 for the other one …

Vaccines are a must for rabbits due to horrible diseases they can catch which will take their lives.

If anyone could spare some pennies to help with the cost tomorrow we would be very thankful

Looking for someone to work for a couple hours on the farm Monday- Friday 9am-12pm

General care of the animals - mucking them out- popping into outdoor pens - haying, waters, feeding, giving any medication if needed.

Ideally someone with animal care qualifications would be ideal but happy to just have someone with experience with farm animals and smaller animals like guineas and rabbits.

To start asap as I would love to be able to go on maternity in 4 weeks and would like to make sure I can show whoever it is the ropes first.

More hours could be available if wanted to run the sessions we offer also but I have got people for this for the moment 🙂

Busy and expensive week at the farm 😢 - poor max the white rabbit has a tear duct problem so having to go back to the vets for another injection and drops at 10.30am today at Senlac in battle ….

The 4 goats need worming and annual mite injections that I need to go collect and pay for today at badgers oak in northiam …

Feed order goes in for delivery on Friday and it’s a full weekly order with all animals needing their food bins topped up this is from Eldridge’s in Hastings …

Cats are coming up for worming and flea treatment at the end of the month so need to order that in …

The amount of hay we’ve had to order this winter as well due to the crazy weather has doubled from last year! and in desperate need for a top up …

Unfortunately after an emergency vet trip 2 weeks ago for a naughty kitten that had eaten something it shouldn’t of - and mr grandad phill the goat needing injections for something called Pygmy goat syndrome (they are unsure what causes this) it affects the skin and makes him very itchy and uncomfortable - we are in a bit of a pickle with being able to afford the up coming bills …

If anyone can possibly help or spare some pennies we would be extremely grateful - as you know I can’t look after these animals without your support and help - these never ending costs are just one thing that comes with this choice to protect and save animals.

I will be running some extra sessions in the next half term in the hopes we can get the farm account funds back up - but for now I will post the bank details in this status and anything you could spare would be fantastic - I’ve also listed the places we get food etc from and vets if anyone would like to contact them direct to help.

Without your support however I can not continue so I thank everyone who has visited so far and supported me and the farm in anyway they can. Take pride in the fact you’ve always helped these animals 🙂

Busy busy trying to grass seed chickens pens etc and making sure all the babies are as comfy as possible with this awful wet weather!

Dolly duck has gone in with the Turkey to keep her company as the boy ducks were getting a little frisky with poor dolly so in the process of fencing the ponds for her etc 🙂

Hello everyone -
I am posting this on behalf of someone who’s reached out for my help …
Home checks are a must or references from a vet - best possible home for this lovely girl ❤️

Due to a change in circumstances and finding out that I am severely allergic to cats and on going mental health issues I’m unable to give her the care she needs and I am looking to rehome the lovely Gypsy.

She is 7 years old, she is the perfect companion. She is very affectionate, loves a cuddle and will greet you straight away from coming in. She has grown up with a variety of children ranging from 2 - 11 so enjoys playing with her toys with all ages.
She is microchipped and spayed and like to explore the outside and returns home of a night time.
She is fully litter trained and a good eater is offered wet and dry food but has preference to dried.
I am gutted to have to rehome her as she is the perfect family pet and will be missed dearly.

On Saturday we went to visit Hazel lodge care home in battle with some of our lovely little animals.

We had the best time and the animals adored cuddles and fuss from some of the residents:)

Such a rewarding thing to do also 🥰

Salam the rabbit definitely stole the show with his purring like a cat and snuggling into everyone ❤️

Hello everyone 🙂 PLEASE READ

Due to a huge increase in costs for feed, bedding and general vet care etc for the animals I’ve now had to make the decision to charge for all persons attending the farm.

Children will stay the same at £10 per child
Adults/ careers will now be charged £3 to attend also - we feel that parents and careers are equally getting the enjoyment from the animals and hope you can understand that we need to make sure we are at least covering our costs.

Thank you for your understanding and fingers crossed we can continue to keep this little fun friendly one to one farm open.

We really need your support to be able to keep going- I completely understand times are really hard for everyone - but we’ve currently not got enough in the bank account to pay next weeks feed bill 😢

I can’t magic the money and with lack of sessions because of this awful weather I’m just stuck and what to do 🥺

This animals don’t understand that they cost money to look after - they just needed a home and someone to love them.

Feeling so defeated my intentions were always so pure and just wanted to help but I’m failing them 😢

being out of hours New Year’s Day and the medication they gave him as I wanted to give Rex the best chance …..
