This young madam turns 9 tomorrow. She is such an awesome kiddo and we appreciate everything she does.

In the last year she has developed her knowledge of all our reptiles and enjoys telling everyone about them. She joins us at our events and amazes so many people with the information she shares.

She's great at helping other small people overcome thier fears of reptiles by showing them they don't need to be scared (always cautious) but not scared.

Last week she assisted me with a Leopard Gecko that unfortunately won't eat for herself yet. She was paired with a boy by her previous owner and I can see clearly she has a couple of eggies that she needs to lay at some point. So we are assist feeding her every morning and every evening to get some weight on her ready for laying.

She's cleaned out our bearded dragon Viv's along with her own snake Viv's (yes she has her own snakes, yes she knows exactly how to handle them and yes she has been taught the correct handling methods and also snake body language so she can safely handle the snakes) she is also supervised at all times. However she does such a good job and that shows as our snakes all love a daisy cuddle.

What she does daily is such a help and although myself and jay do a lot of the required daily care, if she knows she's capable of doing something she will do it without question.

She's so passionate about reptiles and just wants to help where she can. She gets sad when we can't save some of them and helps me get adverts and social media posts out there for those ready for their forever home.

All round she's awesome πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸπŸπŸπŸ¦ŽπŸ¦ŽπŸ¦ŽπŸ¦Ž

Happy 9th Birthday Daisy !!!!!

Some of you may know about lucozade.

He is a wonderful little fella who was handed into a pets at home...in a lucozade bottle 🀦🏼 he had what looks like bite marks on his tail end. After some love, a shed, a feeding frenzy after he realised food won't hurt him.. he is ready for a new home and to be shown what love is.

If your interested in lucozade, please get in contact with us. We will require proof of setup and also a Β£40 donation will be applied.

50 shades of corn snake.

Meet Christian grey. Mr Grey came to us alongside yellow snow and definitely showed us he wasn't happy to be handled. After some loving, feeding and positive handling all he wants to do is...cuddle and move around your body.

If Christian grey tickles your fantasy, get in touch with us. We will need to see proof of setup and also a Β£40 donation is asked for. Like all our rehomes, the Β£40 goes towards helping us to maintain, feed and care for these rescues.

Meet yellow snow!

This fully grown corn snake is an absolute stunning. Yellow snow was handed into us after a lovely family rescued it from a neglectful home and did everything they could to help it gain weight.

Well yellow snow is now ready for a new home and ready to see how a loving family will treat it.

Please do contact us if your interested.

Proof of set up will be required. Β£40 donation will be applied like all of our rehomes.

We have a new intake.

Her name is Queenie, like all the reptiles we take in, we put them through quarantine to make sure everything is ok with them and if they need treatments at all we do that before they are allowed to be rehomed.

If your interested in a mature lady who likes the finer things in life, Queenie could be for you.

Contact us and we can keep you updated on her journey.

Disclaimer - as normal there is a donation accepted on all the rehomes. This just helps us maintain doing the best we do for these gorgeous reptiles. The donations help us feed, clean, house and treat the reptiles.

Thank you all

Well this is a wonderful story. Herbie had come to us either a little overweight or holding eggs.... luckily it was just a little cuddle weight.

After a few months of exercise and reduced food, Herbie is doing so much better.

Then....he found a forever home. His new family worked with us to make sure his new setup was correct and they had done lots of research and asked loads of questions. Now Herbie is in his new home. Exploring his huge new home and will definitely be loved and well looked after.

Thank you to his new family.

GRAPHIC CONTENT WARNING!

Many of you are aware that Friday was a busy intake day for a small (run from home) reptile rescue like ourselves. We had 8 in a day from all over the south east.

4 of these were Geckos that were in extreme conditions. One of which was THE WORST case I've seen in a long time. Although she was trying to feed (with a high level of assistance) morning and evening she unfortunately passed away last night. It's extremely sad as I (la) don't like losing any animal. But in the year we have been going 2 out of the numbers we have taken in isn't bad.

So this is a plea. A plea to everyone out there that has reptiles that they are struggling to look after or can no longer provide the level of care they deserve. Please don't leave it to the last minute to get in touch. We really are a non judgemental rescue we don't care what's happened or happening we just don't want these beautiful creatures suffering or dying when we can offer help.

For now fly high little lady 🌈🩷

Much love to everyone we know times are hard at the minute. We can all only work one day at a time.

You all got to see the lovely Dory the other day and my gosh did our DM's go wild.

Well she's been with us for 4 days now. With a hesitant start she wasn't interested in food at all. To be expected.... With most animals they go through a settling in period and it's no different with reptiles. They get used to their environment and so when they are moved it can be a little stressful.

However I have been offering Dory lots of different bugs to see what her eating habits might have been like. At first she showed no interest in any thing at all. So I did a little trick I sometimes do when I know the scaly has been eating well previously and that's to leave box of bugs right in front of their Viv. When I noticed they show an interest I offer a few and usually this gets them going.

This is what I did with Dory. Now in 4 days we have gone from not eating to learning how to eat from a dish learning to drink from a dish and testing a variety of insects. To which she ate them all.

1 more week and 3 days and she will be ready for her forever home πŸ₯°

Well.....what a busy Friday we have had.

A call from 2 pets at home stores asking for our help.
A gentleman who had 2 boa constrictors and he couldn't find the time for them, so decided it was best to re-home them.
And a family who had 4 leopard geckos who needed a new home due to change in lifestyle.

Then a Rankin's dragon called Dory, what a sweet girl she is.

All these will be available for rehoming, but only after they complete our quarantine period.

When they are ready, we will post about them and everyone can fight over them πŸ˜‚ ( I'm evil -jay )

Like normal all perspective owners will have to provide setup pictures and we will work with them to make sure you know your stuff. There is a rehoming fee, but this is small and only covers the cost of some food, health checks and other overheads.

* Google image *

This morning we had been contacted from a distribution company who found a little Mediterranean house gecko. They popped it in a box and searched for someone to help. They ended making contact with us, and Scott and myself (Jay) popped over to collect it.

So Alan ( they named him ) is now in a small set up and will be enjoying his/her life. πŸ₯°

Thank you for making contact with us.

What a lovely review. It's so nice when someone can see how much we truly care. It's not just us helping to show people the amazing lives of reptiles. There are so many places in the UK who are helping to spread the positives of reptile rehoming.
