Well this is a wonderful story. Herbie had come to us either a little overweight or holding eggs.... luckily it was just a little cuddle weight.

After a few months of exercise and reduced food, Herbie is doing so much better.

Then....he found a forever home. His new family worked with us to make sure his new setup was correct and they had done lots of research and asked loads of questions. Now Herbie is in his new home. Exploring his huge new home and will definitely be loved and well looked after.

Thank you to his new family.

GRAPHIC CONTENT WARNING!

Many of you are aware that Friday was a busy intake day for a small (run from home) reptile rescue like ourselves. We had 8 in a day from all over the south east.

4 of these were Geckos that were in extreme conditions. One of which was THE WORST case I've seen in a long time. Although she was trying to feed (with a high level of assistance) morning and evening she unfortunately passed away last night. It's extremely sad as I (la) don't like losing any animal. But in the year we have been going 2 out of the numbers we have taken in isn't bad.

So this is a plea. A plea to everyone out there that has reptiles that they are struggling to look after or can no longer provide the level of care they deserve. Please don't leave it to the last minute to get in touch. We really are a non judgemental rescue we don't care what's happened or happening we just don't want these beautiful creatures suffering or dying when we can offer help.

For now fly high little lady 🌈🩷

Much love to everyone we know times are hard at the minute. We can all only work one day at a time.

You all got to see the lovely Dory the other day and my gosh did our DM's go wild.

Well she's been with us for 4 days now. With a hesitant start she wasn't interested in food at all. To be expected.... With most animals they go through a settling in period and it's no different with reptiles. They get used to their environment and so when they are moved it can be a little stressful.

However I have been offering Dory lots of different bugs to see what her eating habits might have been like. At first she showed no interest in any thing at all. So I did a little trick I sometimes do when I know the scaly has been eating well previously and that's to leave box of bugs right in front of their Viv. When I noticed they show an interest I offer a few and usually this gets them going.

This is what I did with Dory. Now in 4 days we have gone from not eating to learning how to eat from a dish learning to drink from a dish and testing a variety of insects. To which she ate them all.

1 more week and 3 days and she will be ready for her forever home πŸ₯°

Well.....what a busy Friday we have had.

A call from 2 pets at home stores asking for our help.
A gentleman who had 2 boa constrictors and he couldn't find the time for them, so decided it was best to re-home them.
And a family who had 4 leopard geckos who needed a new home due to change in lifestyle.

Then a Rankin's dragon called Dory, what a sweet girl she is.

All these will be available for rehoming, but only after they complete our quarantine period.

When they are ready, we will post about them and everyone can fight over them πŸ˜‚ ( I'm evil -jay )

Like normal all perspective owners will have to provide setup pictures and we will work with them to make sure you know your stuff. There is a rehoming fee, but this is small and only covers the cost of some food, health checks and other overheads.

This morning we had been contacted from a distribution company who found a little Mediterranean house gecko. They popped it in a box and searched for someone to help. They ended making contact with us, and Scott and myself (Jay) popped over to collect it.

So Alan ( they named him ) is now in a small set up and will be enjoying his/her life. πŸ₯°

Thank you for making contact with us.

What a lovely review. It's so nice when someone can see how much we truly care. It's not just us helping to show people the amazing lives of reptiles. There are so many places in the UK who are helping to spread the positives of reptile rehoming.

For today's spotlight we have for you a beautiful leopard gecko looking for her forever home.

We would like everyone to meet Cally. She is a beautiful Leopard Gecko who has such a personality. She's got a beautiful pattern and colouring which these pictures do not capture.

Cally eats well and will eat a variety of bugs. She sheds well without assistance. She has previously lost her tail but as you can see she has grown it back and it's looking great.

If you think you could offer this sweet girl a forever home feel free to get in touch.

Our usual rehoming fee applies and proof of set up will be required before any animals are released to their new homes.

Today is Saturday and we wanted to share with you all a cuties who is eady and waiting for their new forever home.

Everyone meet coconut.

Coconut is a beautiful leopard gecko. She can fidget when first picked up but doesn't mind being handled. She eats well and sheds well.

How beautiful is her colour. These pictures don't do her justice. She transitions between grey like stormy clouds and white which I think is just so pretty.

Coconut is ready for her new home so if you are interested in rehoming her please message us to discuss further.

Our normal rehoming fee does apply and proof of set up will be required. Delivery is possible if based in and around the south of England via a courier. Please note our courier fee is additional to the adoption fee.

Our base location is Rochester Kent.

After a wonderful day visiting Bermondsey Exotics we had a lovely gent called Scott, who asked us to take on his baby corn snake.

As normal, she will go through our quarantine and then be up for rehoming.

Keep an eye out! She's a killer 😍

Here we go again.

This is stone, our most active corn snake we have ever seen.

Stone loves to explore, moving around their setup all day and not even stopping at night. Stone does sleep but in some very odd positions 🀣

Stone will eat his dinner as soon as it's seen through the glass.

If your interested in stone or any other reptile we share, please do contact us. Please remember that each re-home is subject to a rehoming donation fee, this helps to go towards covering the food, utilities and vet visits.

Meet phoenix.

Phoenix is a wonderful deep red morph corn snake.

She loves playing hide and seek, but when you open her vivarium and get her out she becomes a right character. Moving and climbing around you, typical corn snake.

Phoenix loves her food and hasn't missed a meal.

If your interested in phoenix or any other of the reptiles we share please do contact us. Keep in mind there is a rehoming donation fee attached to each reptile. This just helps us to cover costs for food, utilities and vet visits.

This is Echo, he is a 3-4 year old bearded dragon. He was handed over to us as his previous owner wanted to make sure he gets the best treatment and life. They told us his first owner, before them didn't give him a great start. But he is wonderful, chilled and loves a cuddle.

He has entered into our quarantine area, so we can make sure he is all good, he has MBD which is easy to see on his tail, but also has a weak rear right leg, but that doesn't stop him.

If you think Echo calls to you, please feel free to contact us.

All rehomes will go through our rehoming process so we can make sure Echo has everything he needs. Every re-home has a minimum donation which helps us to continue to do what we do best.
