Just a short re home list for you all to have a look at.

Currently available for adoption we have

Bean - male Leopard Gecko (very sweet temperament, loves to have a little time out with people, eats well, sheds well)

Perry - male Leopard Gecko (considering his background he is honestly the best. He enjoys his time out of his enclosure and doesn't mind a head tickle. Eats well, sheds well)

Wheelie - male Leopard Gecko (can be a tad flighty still but we are working on him everyday. I would also be flighty if I was found abandoned in a wheelie bin. Considering he has a fab nature, eats well, sheds well)

Megamind - male Leopard Gecko (flighty still at present we haven't had him long so he is a work in progress. He looks different to standard due to his large head and small neck. He eats well and sheds well)

Sylvia - female leopard gecko (Sylvia is a beautiful gecko she can sometimes nip if she's not in the mood to be handled but as long as you respect her terms she's a sweet girly. Eats well and sheds well)

Pikachu - female leopard gecko ( Pikachu has MBD head to tail which we have been treating so as not to worsen her condition. Despite this difference she climbs, eats, sheds and explorers like there are no issues) not one to be handled lots as her body is squishy so she's a delicate girl.

Spotty - female leopard gecko (spotty is a good girl. She's got the moodiest face possible and looks like she's forever giving you stink eye but she's just checking if you have bought her anything nice. She can be handled but like Sylvia it's on her terms only and she will let you know when she's had enough.

Chester - California king snake (beautiful snake. Eating and shedding well exploring all the books and crannies. Like most cali snakes they like to bite before realising your not food. So Chester is for a more snake experienced household.)

Big Fat Dave - corn snake (big fat Dave is a gentle boy unless your food. Once out of his Viv he is alot more calm and collected than when he is inside. We are working on his defensive side but it can take a good while to establish new boundaries.)

Sissy + corn snake (this little one should be called houdinin. Sissy has a great sense for adventure and will break out given the opportunity. She's a big nippy at present but we hope with some more work she will take down.

Bacon - crested Geckos. (Bacon loves his log so he's extremely hard to find most days. He's a beautiful yellow full spike. Eats well, sheds well.)

Monroe - royal python. (Monroe is an older girl who's looking for a family that can love her for as many years as she has left.

There are lots more in welfare corner especially leopard geckos. 💖

I'd you are looking for or interested in any of the above please get in touch 💖

It's been a tad quiet on the RDJ family front recently and we wanted to take this time to apologies.

We have had some very personal and unfortunate news that has taken us some time to come to terms with and work through. We want to thank everyone for their time and patience.

Look out tomorrow for an updated list of who's looking for their new forever homes. We really do have some beautiful animals waiting ###

Something inside me loves a good story.

We were contacted recently by one of our long term supporters regarding rehoming a bearded dragon.

At that time we didn't have any in for rehoming other than our very own ghost who is well a challenge.

However we were recently contacted and asked to take on a 2 year old loved pet who couldn't go with his owners on their move. So we messaged our lovely supporter and let her know that we have the most sweetest little beardy come in who loves a snuggle and a fuss and well LONG STORY SHORT as my pops would say. He is off to his new home in 3 weeks time after a successful quarantine period. Currently called Apollo bit who knows what his new family might call him.

It's the weekend.

I'm sure you all know what that means. It's deep cleaning time.... Yes Roela is sad enough to enjoy the deep cleaning sessions of the weekends. She's a crazy gecko lover who has more than enough of them to take care of everyday. Not only do we currently take on welfare and re-home cases ourselves we also foster on behalf of the NCRW National Centre for Reptile Welfare and we currently have 16 leopard geckos in foster and 7 that are with us for re-home.

Not only leopards though. We currently have 3 corn snakes (one is a little extra spicy) 1 royal 1 California kingsnake (also a tad spicy) 1 crested gecko (potentially has a new home) 1 bearded dragon (XTRA spicy) 1 beautiful Bosc monitor (not for re-home) and lastly our newest addition a boa constrictor now nicknamed The fridge (he is overweight and extremely powerful)

So we have our work cut out this weekend lots of cleaning lots of cuddles and mostly lots of love.

So many of you know our foster Tortoise Pancake. He's been to a few events with us meeting you all so some will know exactly who we mean.

As those that have met him know his shell is deformed due to a lack of nutrients at the begining of his life.

Tortoises need a hugely varied diet which includes natural grass, weeds, flowers, salads and veggies. They are allowed to enjoy fruits on the odd occasion as a treat but a word to the wise raspberries look like they are bleeding from the mouth hahaha 🤣. They also need supplements that supply additional nutrients and minerals to help with their health and their shell development.

Anyway I wanted to show you the difference in Pancakes shell since we have had him in our care.

As you can see from the pictures the yellow coloured shell is from his life before us and the lovely dark shell band below and around the base of the side scutes are from his life with us.

Now pancake is free roaming meaning he can go anywhere in the house that he wants. He has a specific corner where there is UVB and heat available. However his favourite place is under the TV. He knows where the backdoor is and usually asks to go out should he need the toilet and also if he feels like roaming the garden.

He's still got his grumpy old man face bless him.

What an amazing new owner.
So sissy has found a new home with Dan. Dan video called us so we could check his setup as he is a new snake owner. Dan listened to everything we said and took everything on board.

It goes without saying, you can see the love Dan has for his first reptile.

Thank you for working with us, and rehoming sissy. She will love the rest of her life with you.

Hi all.

So sorry for not posting our available scalies waiting on their re-home. We have had a very busy period and our efforts were needed elsewhere.

Anyway.

Please meet Lenny

He's a beautiful Leopard Gecko who has now passed his quarantine with us. He's a delightful little man who loves a little snuggle. As with all geckos the cuddle length is up to them and they let you know when they are bored.

If you are interested in adopting any of the scalies waiting on their forever homes please do not hesitate to get in touch.
