πΎβ HANDS IN CHALLENGE! βπΎ

β TICK SEASON β
Over the last week we have had multiple dogs come to the practice with ticks including this massive one! π±
π·οΈ Ticks are blood sucking creepy crawlies that climb onto dog's fur as they brush past. They tend to attach to areas around the dog's head, neck, ears and feet. Ticks are common in woodland, grassland and heath areas but can also be found in your garden! π±
Ticks pass infections from one animal to another and transmit microbes that cause diseases such as lyme disease and babesiosis π·
Please call the practice on 01928 575515 if you believe your pet has a tick or you would like to discuss preventative treatment π

Arthritis is progressive, and it is not curable, but there are several ways to improve comfort and help your cat or dog to lead a full and active life.
Symptoms can indicate underlying osteoarthritis β a painful condition caused by degeneration and inflammation of the joints.
We are on hand to help, please reach out and book today!

Why do cats knead
Why do cats kneadβ
Kittens knead their mother's stomach to stimulate milk flow. If your cat kneads your lap during cuddles, it may indicate their connection from the secure bond with their mother to the bond they share with you.
And the more they knead, the more they love you! π
Caturday
If youβve ever wondered why!
Youβre welcome.

Vet nurses are ready to care for all pets, no matter how many legs they have!

True or False
Registered veterinary nurses and student veterinary nurses are registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. They are regulated by them in terms of their conduct and keeping up to date with training. The term veterinary nurse is a contentious conversation in the vet world as anyone can use this term, even if not qualified or registered.
Efforts have been made to change this, and we fully support this; our nursing team deserves to have their title protected and for pet owners to know your vet nurse is fully qualified to look after your beloved pet.
Registered vet nurses RVN and registered student nurses RSVN are always qualified and trained.
