🐾💖 POPPY 💖🐾

Poppy came to the practice last week for a dental procedure to clean her teeth and have a couple removed as she had a build up of tartar. Vet Philippa gave all of her teeth a scale and polish and she is back to smiling with her pearly whites!! 😁✨

Owners sometimes struggle to brush their pets teeth as some don’t tolerate it very well 🪥 There are alternative products which can help to prevent plaque build up, we are happy to discuss these if needed! 😊

Bella came to The Laurels last week to be speyed. She was such a good girl during her stay with us before and and enjoyed lots of cuddles off the nurses 🥰

Look how adorable she looks in her post-op medivest 😍 This isn't only a fashion item, it prevents her from being able to lick at her surgical wound so is really important in her recovery and reduces the risk of post operative infection

Whilst we are all enjoying this lovely warm weather, remember it can be dangerous for your pets.

There are lots of things you can do to keep your pet cooler throughout the day, such as using cool mats, paddling pools, providing shaded areas, fans and much more.

If you have an appointment booked with us, rest assured we have a lovely air conditioned waiting room to keep your pet cool and we provide fresh drinking water refreshments for your pet

❤️🐈‍⬛The tale of Ludo🐈‍⬛❤️

8 weeks ago Ludo vanished from his owners house. They searched the area, put posters up asking for people to check their homes and outbuildings and put posts on social media. Then late one night this week, they received a message to their phone from a member of the public saying they thought they had found Ludo. His owners went round and although he looked different and had lost some weight his owners were sure it was him.
His microchip was scanned and it was confirmed - Ludo had been found after all these weeks of searching. He came in to see vet Rebecca for a check up since he had been missing for so long and apart from his weight loss was well enough to return back home with his owner to be looked after.
