Conkers are a classic part of autumn, but they pose a serious risk to our pets - especially curious dogs who love to pick things up with their mouths.

👉 Conkers can cause tummy upsets, blockages, and even contain toxic compounds can be harmful if ingested. They're also a choking hazard, particularly for smaller dogs.

So, while they’re fun for kids to collect, it’s best to steer your dog away from conkers during walks.

⚠️ If your pet has eaten one, or you’re unsure, give us a call right away for advice.

Seasonal Canine Illness is a very rare dog disease of unknown cause that can be potentially fatal. Most cases are seen after woodland walks from August to November.

Vomiting, diarrhoea, tiredness, tremors, and sometimes fevers are the tell-tale symptoms.

🐾❤️PUDDING❤️🐾

Meet the beautiful pudding who came in this week to see vet Lauren.

🌟Pudding came in today for a chemical castration! 💉
This is a super easy process in which a chemical is implanted under the skin in the form of an implant. Pudding is 8 months old and has started marking around the home, therefore his owner decided to have him chemically castrated, which last for 6-12 months to see what his behaviour would be like to decide if they want to go ahead and get him surgically castrated.

To book an appointment or chat more about this process please ring the practice on 01928 575515 and a nurse will be in touch 💛
