Everyone please say hello to Buddy! He's a 19 month old springador, and has come into rescue because his owner didn't have time for him. He's an active boy, so a home that is very active is required, and he's also very bouncy so kids over 8 only. He needs some further training but he's a smashing lad and will make someone a fantastic pet. Size wise he's a big springer or small lab, just under 18kg. He's not cat tested and travels well in the car. He's been an only dog but would love a doggy companion to play with.
If you think you can offer this lovely boy a home please fill in our application form at www.nessr.org
He is being fostered in Co Durham and you will be expected to travel to meet him. A successful homecheck and donation will apply.

New Beginners Gundog Course Date is the 06/10/2024

Based on the Grade One field test your dog will be training to walk a short distance at heel on a lead, sit and stay whilst you walk away, come when he is called, and carry out some simple retrieves.

Obedience

HEEL- The handler is required to walk the dog on a loose lead from the line to the 20 yard sit marker.

SIT- The handler is required to sit the dog at the 20-yard marker with one command, remove the lead, and to return to the line without the dog.

STAY- The dog must remain seated for two minutes. The handler can give the dog one ‘stay’ reminder either before returning to the line, or from the line if he wishes to do so.

We are helping rehome this beautiful 20 month old Hungarian Vizla, Rufus.

Unfortunately his current owners are unable to keep him.

He is lovely, quiet, affectionate and non aggressive, but he’s not a small dog will require good space and ample exercise.

Rufus is friendly with other dogs and people. Hasn’t been exposed to cats or children but he has a gentle nature, he's a big boy and loves a cuddle so may be too needy to be around young children. He's house trained and obedient but would need some lead training. He is also un-neutered - Discount neutering offered to anyone who takes Rufus home 🙏🏼

Please get in touch if you could give Rufus a forever home 🙏🏼

Summer is a season of outdoor enjoyment and exploration, but high temperatures can be dangerous for our pets. Dogs are especially at risk of heat-related illnesses, so it's essential for owners to take steps to keep them safe and comfortable in the hottest months.

This is Fly and Ted, both came into Spaniel Aid as they were bred to be working dogs. Sadly, due to their limited eyesight, they could not work, however, they've both done brilliantly in their foster homes and are ready for their forever homes 🌟

Fly is an amazing boy. He is so happy and full of energy. Fly’s sight has not held him back at all and to be honest, at times you wouldn’t even realise he was blind. He loves human company and likes to know you’re there. He has recently found his voice and will let you know when he wants to play!

Ted is a very happy, confident boy just like any other puppy, he does not let his limited vision hold him back. Ted runs around and uses his other senses to help him get around. He loves to play with other dogs and enjoys their company too. Ted also loves the company of adults and older children.

Both boys have eye abnormalities, microphthalmia, and possible cataracts, which means impaired vision in both eyes/blind. Apart from their eyes, they are normal happy healthy puppies ❤️

To apply, please check out their full profiles and read more about their home needs here: https://spanielaid.co.uk/spaniel/fly-sa4324-ted-sa4325/

(please note that the boys are to be re-homed separately)

💜✯REHOMED✯💜

This stunning girl is REEVA - Cocker Spaniel, 2 years old, being spayed today, vaccinated and she is microchipped.
She is extremely shut down and needs copious amounts of TLC. She would benefit from being placed in a home that already has a neutered/spayed dog of a similar size as she is in need of a companion.
Absolutely no malice or temperament issues, super friendly. Not sure if she has ever been in a home so will need a house training refresher. We know she is crate trained and has spent an awful lot of time residing in one so we would prefer that she never has to see or reside in another one ever again.
Any children in the home need to be calm and used to dogs plus 5+
A secure garden with adequate height fencing is a must.
We are seeking a home that can give Reeva all the love and attention she needs and one where she is not going to be left for more than a few hours.
Contact Wallace Kennels - she is in Essex.
An application form is required in the first instance but do not apply if you are going away or not around in the next few weeks.
