We loved seeing our first XL bully visitor last week. As we are a sole hire facility, these is no reason XL bullies cannot attend Maes Barcio, and a large part of our reasoning for creating the site was to offer freedom and security for dogs to roam and play who couldn’t for varying reasons. This reason still stands today, and we’re glad we are able to offer the site to XL bully’s and their owners.
As per government guidelines, the dogs must be on leads wearing a muzzle until they are within the field with the gate securely locked behind you. After this point their leads and muzzles can be removed!

XL Bully status -

We do accept XL bullies at Maes Barcio, as long as they are complying with current government legislation meaning;

▪️ Owners must have their own 3rd party public liability insurance (we will need a copy of this)
▪️ The dog/s must be registered as an exempted dog (we will also need to see a copy of this)
▪️The dog/s must be microchipped
▪️The dog/s must be neutered (under 1 cut off date was Dec 31st, dogs over 1 have until June 30)
▪️The dog/s must be muzzled and on a lead before exiting the vehicle, and remain so until you are enclosed in the field with the gate locked. At this point the dog can be released. Upon departure the dog must have lead and muzzled re-applied before the gate is opened.
▪️Dog handler ratio is 1:1

Gentle reminder

As stated in our rules, all dog waste needs to be bagged and removed from the field during your slot.

We’ve had a few comments regarding clients having to bag up dog waste that was not theirs, should we find this to be a repeat offence we will have to look into cancelling offending visitors!

▪️ 𝕀𝕞𝕡𝕠𝕣𝕥𝕒𝕟𝕥 𝕀𝕟𝕗𝕠𝕣𝕞𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 ▪️

Booking Only
* The field is only available on a pre-booking basis.
* All sessions must be booked before you arrive.
* Sessions are for 1 hour time slots.
* Please allow 5 minutes at the end of your session to leave, making sure it is vacant for the next person.
* Any additional sessions due to overrunning the time slot, must be paid for.
* If you arrive late, you can not extend your booking.

Gate Code
* Once a booking has been made, the gate code will be emailed to you.

Dogs
* All dogs must be accompanied by an adult (aged18+).
* They must be up to date with their vaccinations.
* If your dog shows any signs of ill health you must cancel your session.
* Do not enter the field until the previous attendee has securely left the field with their dog.
* We recommend you have insurance & public liability cover for your dog(s).

Attending The Field
* All gates must be kept closed at all times.
* Keep your dog(s) on a lead until they are into the field and the gate closed behind you. They can then be unleashed.

Responsibility
* Attendees are responsible for their dog(s) at all times
* Dogs must not be left unattended at any time
* It is the users responsibility to ensure the gate is locked when using the park. Users must check that the park is suitable for their dog(s) use prior to entering.
* Clean up after your dog immediately & take poo bags with you .
* No littering
* Any breakages or damage to the park will be paid for by the dog owner.

Payments, Cancellations & Re-scheduling
* Payment for hire of the field is due prior to arrival.
* Any bookings cancelled or rescheduled within 48 hours can not be refunded

* Use of Maes Barcio is entirely at the users/owners own risk.
* You are responsible for the actions and behaviour of your dog(s) at all times. You are responsible for any injury or damage caused by your dog(s). Maes Barcio is not responsible for any injury or damage caused by your dog(s).
* Maes Barcio is not responsible for any harm or injury caused to you or your dog(s). You are responsible for both your own and your dog(s) safety.
* The field is enclosed by 6ft secure fencing. Whilst we do our best to ensure the field is completely secure at all times, we cannot guarantee it is escape proof.
* All vehicles parked are left at the owners own risk.
* Maes Barcio will not be held responsible for any damage, accidents, thefts, loss or otherwise to personal property, individuals or animals.
