Dogs don't understand don't, because don't is a concept. Dogs understand DO. They understand behaviours.

Create a behaviour that you DO want, so that your dog can be right and you're setting him up for reinforcement.

This makes for a much better relationship for you and your dog, and for anybody else who comes in contact with your dog.

Mahoosive congratulations to our youngest member Rubble and his Mum Hannah for passing their Foundation Good Hoopers Award with flying colours. Rubble is a 6 month old Chocolate Labrador and is such a well behaved boy. Credit to Hannah for such beautiful handling. Very well deserved xx 🐾🐾

Those of you that train with me know how much emphasis I put on the importance of FORWARD FOCUS for your dogs in Hoopers and Agility. Here is a phenomenal example of the skill in action. So today we have worked on the all important foundations right through to Gold exercises and everything in between. Here is a stunning example of one of the exercises for Gold, beautifully executed by Heather and Herbie 🥰🥰🐾🐾

Today we have had a full day of training 🥰 From puppies beginning foundation training to the more experienced practising exercises for the Gold Good Hoopers Award. Here is our lovely Jennifer and her Smooth Collie Ace. I love to see the progress and the variety of different breeds we have here at training. Very lucky to have such a great job. Here at Wight Wizards Hoopers we pride ourselves in teaching distance and confidence in the dogs ability to negotiate exercises with a verbal cue. Here is Harry demonstrating a beautiful GoGo with one cue. The distance is just over 20 metres!! Atta boy Harry. So here is lovely Bella owned and trained by Jill. Bella is a rescue who was really nervous. Jill is teaching her to gain huge focus and confidence. We are encouraging her to enjoy the water and she has chosen to take the ball with her to create her own games!! Love this 🥰🥰🐾🐾
