At Irlam Animal Clinic we aim to provide a friendly, yet professional service at affordable prices. We have an animal veterinary surgery, with two spacious consultation rooms, fully equipped theatre, x-ray and ultrasound facilities, hospitalisation ward and dental facilities. We offer veterinary surgeon and nurse consultations, as well as all aspects of preventative healthcare. Our veterinary team

can boast over thirty years combined experience in veterinary practice, and look forward to welcoming you and your pets to our surgery. We have a purpose built canine hydrotherapy pool, equipped with inbuilt jets, and a full access ramp. Hydrotherapy uses the non-weight bearing environment of water to provide an invaluable method of exercising your pet following surgery, to aid in joint, muscular and mobility problems, and as an aid in weight loss. Our hydro therapists are all fully trained and will tailor a course of hydrotherapy to your pet's needs, ensuring as effective treatment as possible. We also offer a range of fun and fitness swims. Our pool is not only for patients of our surgery, we also welcome independent patients, or on referral from your own vet. Please feel free to pop in or call for a chat regarding your pet's needs.

The kittens are looking for their forever homes.

They have been neutered and they are friendly little babies. We have two girls and one boy. They are all black and white.

Thanks to all your kind donations we have managed to get Rupert the bulldog puppy in at Liverpool University. The neurology specialists have examined and performed an MRI Scan on Rupert’s spine. We now have him back and it's good and bad news. ❤️ Rupert has spina bifida - a condition where his spine does not form properly. There is also an attachment of the spinal cord to his skin. This is pulling on the cord and sadly as he grows his condition is likely to progress. 😞 He is already incontinent but this will lead to progressive hind limb paralysis. There is a however a glimmer of hope. The neurologists feel surgery may help him or at least stop the progression of his disease. He is such a beautiful characterful soul. This is Penny enjoying a fun swim in our hydrotherapy pool. Isn’t she a good swimmer? Penny is an energetic little soul so her mum likes to keep her active by exercising her in different ways where she can keep her mind active as well as her body. She’s often tired after a good swim in the pool. Our hydrotherapy pool is not just a great way to offer rehabilitation and physiotherapy, it’s also great for enrichment and fitness and can even help with weight loss. We have permission from the owners to show you all an Ultrasound done today on a rabbit and her little baby bunnies 🥰

Today we released our visiting swan 🦢 After a short stay and x rays to check there was no fishing tackle or lead shots, we then monitored the swans appetite and once this had returned we released our little friend. We think this beautiful animal was possibly the victim of a road traffic accident. We wish them well.
