Dovecot Janga

What a Ram, Born and Raised here at Dovecot Valais, he has never let us down, Janga always walks away with a Rosette when out showing, he has impeccable manners and easy to handle and work with, we will be extremely sad to see him leave but he has produced some stunning daughters that we’ve just had to keep.
We have let him have some of the older ewes again this year and we are expecting more offspring from him next year.
So really it’s the right time for him to find some more ewes to woo.

He has interesting breed lines and has been graded. Although his hock markings are large we can confirm that 4 different judges have agreed there are white fibres separating the black between the ankle and the hock.
Janga has not passed this “over mark” onto his offspring.
What he has passed on is his absolutely stunning fleece, quiet nature, and true black points.

He has many Award winning Offspring That are beautifully marked.

Overall he is fantastic Ram, he’s worth a view!

Born 14th April 2022
Proven with Registered awarded winning offspring
Award Winning and graded

Halter broken
Wonderful fleece
Produces lovely sized lambs with gorgeous fleeces
Fully DNA Registered.

Usk Valley Hot Toddy and Dovecot Luna Moon are seeking new grass to eat, Toddy is 4 years old, Luna is her lamb from this year and is 2months old.

Toddy has successfully reared 2 crops of lambs previously, she has a good udder, good teeth, halter trained, has been shown successfully.

Luna is “mismarked” as she has a large mark on the shoulder. This wouldn’t stop her chances of breeding a perfectly marked lamb with the right ram.
Both are friendly, Luna is super friendly and enjoys human company.
They will need to have other friends so Luna can be weaned in a couple of months.

We do have also have a weaned wether lamb who could join them. Lord Louie 🥰

Local delivery available at buyers expense.

Dovecot Ivy and Dovecot Lenny

Dovecot Ivy is looking for new fields to graze with her whether Lamb “Lenny”.

Ivy was born here at Dovecot Valais in October 2021 and is halter trained and has been shown,
She is beautifully marked and carries a good fleece.
Ivy can be a little nervous around new people but with some one on one she will let you fuss her.

Fully up to date with Vaccinations (Hep P plus)
Wormed according to FEC
Halter trained and walks perfectly.
Fully Registered with the VBN society.
Local delivery available at buyers cost.
Lambed unassisted and has been a fantastic mother.

Lenny is a mismarked Valais Wether who is inquisitive and sweet, would make a lovely pet.

What a Day! Mai seemed to start her labour yesterday when she displayed the clear string we all expected, she was uncomfortable through the night, Textbook right!? Hmmm well early morning Mai became more restless and more fluid appeared, but not a lamb in sight.
Couple of hours of little pushes and then some big pushes, still no sight of any lambs.
Now do we panic??Yep! We checked her internally to feel what was going on, when Lara confidently said “correct presentation” what a relief! Until her faces changed and said “I can feel a third leg, oh no make that four!”
What a mess Mai lambs had got themselves in,
Some manipulating, pushing and pulling, we managed to pop the head out of one and hopefully the correct set of legs, first out was Lord Louie a whopping great boy, and coming out backwards was Lady Lillibet! We couldn’t believe it, a slow and stressful start but they were both breathing and alive! Success, but certainly not Textbook! Thankfully we acting fast otherwise we would be telling a very different story!

So proud you of Mai.

Thank you Lara without you it could have been a very different ending.
