So today I have had the pleasure of owing Baby Girl Florence (Enfermera) 19 years. Lots of photos from when Sheila Jones and myself collected her from the Polo yard. What a sad little polo pony she was - but determined to fight - although riding was never going to be her thing - she has been a constant companion to myself and any upset or sickly horses on the yard. She has suffered with lynphangitis on and off for many years and only with the help of many friends and Endell Veterinary Hospital have we seen her through it. Anyone who knows her will see in the photo this is her happy face 🤣🙈 love her to the moon and back x
And she has obviously weathered better than me as I had jet black hair right down my back on my photo when she came home 🤣🤣🤣

Due to a pending operation on the 2nd May I'm afraid I will be unable to do any rugs during May. If you are having a spring clean and want to drop them off that is fine please make sure they are labelled with your name on.
Thank you for your patience.
Pam

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far! I’m up to £735 including the cash donations I’ve received today which I will transfer over to the page. Let’s see if I can hit my £1000 target before the 2nd October! Every little helps. 9 days to go and managed to get last minute appointment with a sports physio in the morning to try to sort my legs out 😭😭😭😭😭 I’m in pain now but dread to think what state I will be in after 26 miles 🤔🤔🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ First and last marathon 🙄🥳🙌

"Ode to the feral women”

“My soul is not set fire by being the best home maker but by growing flowers and plants, shoveling dirt, snow or manure, breathing the cold fresh air, letting them sun beat on my face, and tending animals.
It is not that I can not cook and clean it’s that I desire to be else where.
I’ve struggled with the fact that I am well me. I am a feral woman. As much as I wish I could be the sweet and clean home maker, I am
not.
I finally made peace with this when I saw a quote circulating around that said,
“the term domesticate house wife implies there must be a feral one”

It’s me and other women I know. I am and we are feral women.
We may not have perfect houses but we still make them a home. We may not clean the dishes right after every meal but we can sure cook a good meal. The laundry is lagging but at the end of the day everyone has something clean to wear. We may not be domesticate but it does not make us less.
If anything our strength is found as we carry feed sacks across our shoulders,as we till up dirt to plant gardens, as we end a life to provide food for our families all while we still carry the softness of a woman.
Here is to the feral women. May we be them, may we know them, may we raise them.”

Author unknown, but clearly a bloody marvelous woman.

The lovely Florence showing of our favorite rug - I had it 2nd hand 10 years ago and have washed/reproofed and repaired it ever since where outer layer rotted (as these ones did) it has never let any water in - love it .

23/11/2021

The lovely Monty all clipped and looked beautiful (thank you Sarah) even though you clipped his fluffy ears 😭 in his new rug which reminds me of my house a few weeks ago 🤣
