Does your 🐴 horse like a bit that is still in their mouth such as the Eggbutt, Full Cheek or Hanging Cheek but at times you feel that you require more ✋brakes but you don’t need anything as strong as a Pelham and your horse doesn’t like the movement of a universal ?

Did you know that we have an Eggbutt with loops in our Comfy Barrel range ?

The eggbutt cheek being a fixed ring keeps the bit stiller in mouth, and so can apply more tongue and bar pressure, handy for horses that don’t like as movement in the mouth, the loops on the eggbutt cheek help secure the cheekpiece and the rein to put some action in the bit to give a little more control than an ordinary eggbutt cheek.

We had the pleasure of Sally O'Hara Bit and Bridle Fitter this week. For anyone that knows me, I’ve always been incredibly interested and have always taken bitting into consideration in great detail, when looking at a horses training, as well as from a coaching aspect.

Sally is incredibly knowledgeable about both bitting and the fit of bridles, her attention to detail and horses comfort is paramount.

I can’t recommend her enough, whatever level of training you are at, Sally will bring ideas to the table and work with you on the best solution for both horse and rider.
