It’s always so important to put findings into context. Take a pet’s temperature for example. Infection can increase it, dehydration can lower it. So an animal with an infection who is becoming dehydrated due to vomiting could have a normal temperature!

This is why it is important to note and report all changes and findings with your pet when you visit your vet ❤️

Do not give dogs and cats carbohydrates 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I hear this said a lot! But fibre is a carbohydrate! It is an important one and can help the digestive tract hugely if added daily.

When dogs and cats have diarrhoea it’s useful to add fibre to help resolve it. If an animal is Ill or the diarrhoea is chronic then this needs investigation to find the cause.

Pumpkin often comes puréed in cans (do not use one with sugar in), butternut squash and kale can be steamed until softened then added to the food. There are other safe sources of fibre.

**Added for clarity! Yes other carbohydrates I.e. anything but fibre may well lead to other skin and gut issues in your dog. I am talking fibre NOT general carbs**
