🦴Frozen kibble lick enrichment
- Great way to cool your pups down in this heat.
- Fantastic enrichment to keep them occupied.
- Licking for dogs releases endorphins which makes them feel relaxed, calm and happy!
- Super easy to prepare.
🦴Simply fill your chosen Tupperware with water and drop your pups favourite kibble or treats in and pop in freezer overnight.

❗️Top tips for keeping your furry friends safe in the summer heat❗️

🐾Always ensure your pup has access to shade and fresh drinking water.

🐾Damp towels for them to lie on can provide relief from the heat.

🐾Regular grooming in warmer weather can help brush away any dead or excess hair leaving your dog with a less dense coat-making it easier to stay cool!

🐾Some dogs will love a paddling pool to splash around in- not only does this keep them cool but also it’s lots of fun!

🐾Walk your pups in the early morning or evening when it’s cooler to reduce the risk of heatstroke and burning their little paws on the pavement! If the ground is too hot to touch which your hand for 3 seconds it’s too hot for paws!

🐾Use pet safe suncream on exposed parts of your pups skin such as the tips of their ears and nose to avoid sunburn. This is especially important if your dog has white or light-coloured fur!

🐾 Put ice cubes in your dogs water bowl or freeze a kong with treats and water for them to lick!

One happy pup today on our walk! We have advanced to the training lead so she can have more freedom and to start working on her recall!( she’s already good at it!) We also explored a new area with lots of different terrains and smells!!🐾🐾🐾

❗️RECALL TIPS❗️

🐾Choose your cue word(s) for recall (e.g. come, here, whistle etc) and stick to it! I recommend no more than 2 words.

🐾Keep practicing over and over in various locations, be patient it will come!

🐾Rewards are essential!

🐾Changing the reward up can build excitement for your pup, making them want to come back to you!

🐾The rule of 3: Try not to repeat the same command over three times back to back, this will most likely make your pet believe it’s okay to ignore you.

🐾Training/recall lines can be a great help. These allow you to put trust in your pup to run around whilst still having control at the other end of the line. You can get these in a variety of lengths.
