So anyone who has been keeping an eye on the page lately will have seen lots of new designs made using mock ups with a warning that the final product may vary.

What does this mean?

So basically I've been applying designs to a template of my collars to make designs quicker without the need for printing loads of designs which may not even sell.

Mock ups aren't exact replicas of the final product and are just there as a way to see what it will roughly look like.

As you can see in the picture the mock up and the final product are very similar and in my opinion the final product is nicer!

I hope this clears up the method to my madness!

THE FACES BEHIND THE BUSINESS. Its been awhile so time for an updated version.

I have seen a fair few other small businesses do a post with info about them and thought it was a fab idea so here’s ours…

The humans behind Heath & Hound are Stefan Brill and Sarah King.
By day I (Stefan) work on the business full time from making and designing the products to advertising and everything inbetween.

While Sarah is a registered vet nurse (RVN) at a local vets qualified in clinical animal behaviour and studying to further her behavioural knowledge as well as being a maker.

Our business started when we decided to start offering a local dog walking service. Initially making collars etc was just a hobby but we were often stopped and asked where we got items from. Then one day we decided we should give selling them a shot and I set up the page and started taking photos of everything Sarah made. We have now sold over 15,000collars.

We couldn’t introduce our business without including the stars of the show and the real faces behind the business, Chester. Chester is the real reason the business is here. He is the dog who just had to look smart and couldn’t wear anything off the shelf! Chester is a Scottish Terrier x Lhasa Apso, he is 11 years old and a wonderful little companion. Over the years he has been joined by our other dogs Poppy (scottie) and Maisie (Malinois)

How it started....

Heres a small glimpse into the making of our new flamingo design.

As always it starts with an idea and some rough sketches. I then finalise the line work and add colour.

After making several different poses the flamingos are then arranged into a repeat design and printed on custom cotton fabric.

From start to finish it is designed, printed and made in the UK.
