‘Robs cosmic girl’ aka Taz gave me a nice surprise this morning. She was not due until early next week and had not shown any signs of whelping yet! 5 puppies so far and Taz is doing such a good job.

I purchased my first two whippets in 2005 from Mike Brown of North Wales. One blue dog and one black bitch. They were half brother and half sister both by the famous sire ‘Lord of the Knight’. Unfortunately the blue dog was stolen from my yard in 2009. So I went back to Mike Brown and brought another blue dog this time by the famous ‘Strike while the irons hot’.
I was very impressed with ‘Strike while the irons hot’ and he was in my opinion the ideal type of whippet I was wanting to own. So I decided to breed from my black bitch ‘Thomas black magic’ as she had now proven herself with her working ability, drive and attitude. Her temperament around the home was fantastic and so laidback. So the Ac denu whippets began from this first mating.
The blue whippets are my personal preference and I only keep blues. I like a strong type of whippet with plenty of bone and substance so they can stand up to the work in a variety of terrain. When breeding I breed for attitude and temperament, they must have drive and determination when out in the fields working but with a loyal, laidback attitude when at home as a loving family pet.
I like to keep 4 whippets at a time usually 3 bi***es and 1 dog.
Puppies are sometimes available and my dog is standing at stud.
