We have found someone who can Transport the sheds and huge coops that we have been offered but we need to raise a further £200 to make this achievable.

This will not only house all the animals it allows us to further add to the farm and enhance the therapy and education we can provide.

We are so close to reopening now!

Hi, we are a small non profit farm that specialise in therapy based education for fami… Hayley Prince needs your support for YORfarm improvements for children

Huge shout out for help!

We need 4 coops
2 sheds
And some fencing collecting
From Barnsley
We have been offered this at a VERY reduced price
This would give all animals shelters and houses for the long term and cover a LOT of fencing
Please share and tag anyone who may be able to help
(Vans, trailers or horseboxes)

In the first stage of our huge shift round the horses have moved to the other side of the farm to free up some fencing, to free up some space and save money on hay when they have this much grass!
The fencing is in progress we've removed some and got lots ready to be put in over the next few days.
Thank you all so much for making this possible.
Everyone had their medication yesterday.
Everyone has stacks of hay and a tummy full of food.

A sheep that doesn't always get the spotlight but is growing beautifully is our lovely Aurora.
Her mum is our big Valais, Queenie. She was born this year so isn't quite a year old yet.
She's such a beautiful girl with her twisted horns

Even big people love a cuddle with a sheep.
This is my eldest child, he's the sheep whisperer round the farm.
He's the one with the most sheep experience. He was also the one that said ouessants weren't sheep 🤣
Now here he is giving one a cuddle.
Finding therapy in the most unexpected ways.

These girls really love their snuggles. This one is Luna. They are incredibly affectionate. They nuzzle you and love a quick cuddle with you.
They are super inquisitive and their tiny size means they are perfect for even the smallest people that will visit our farm!

But here we are proving that therapy has no age limit on the farm.

*Update on Moana*
Our little girl so still fighting so we are too! We've seen an improvement this morning because she's back with her friends, she's eating little bits again. The next stage is more medication to see if we can get her back to where she should be

We are far from out of the woods but while she fights we fight for her.

The same goes for the farm, while we still have a chance we will fight for it.
We are so grateful for everyone's donations, messages and we'll wishes.

We hope we will soon be at the stage where we can say we can reopen in January with certainty, knowing we will have a space for all our lively families to visit.

I refuse to be all doom and gloom today, so I want to show you something happy and positive.
This is Dexter, he's my son. Dexter is one of the many SEN children struggling in Mainstream but in one of his educated offsite days he's been at the farm with us. He helped us treat goat feet, he asked the vet lots of great questions. He learnt about mastitis.

We haven't had a single meltdown today. Not one. He's smiled all day. He's walked away with knowledge he didn't have before today.

Children like Dexter are the reason the farm was created. Mainstream is a struggle for him. It's like climbing a mountain every day.

But here he's happy, he's relaxed and because he's relaxed his brain retains more information. He can be whoever he is here.

I will work every second i can to make this work because children (and their families) need this.
We need more smiles like this and less panic attacks and meltdowns.

So I wanted to share my amazing superhero and his beautiful smile ❤️

And I will forever live in hope that we can provide this for many more children to come.

After speaking to our vet, things are now more urgent than ever and we need your help.

Our poorly sheep (and everyone else) need to be moved out of that paddock by the end of the weekend to save their lives.

At the moment we are at risk of losing ALL our animals.

So we desperately need help to raise money for shelters
We need 2 (sheds, or the wood to build them) £200 each minimum
Fence posts we need a minimum of 10 @ £5 per post
An energiser £50
Fence tape £12

We have so far spent £700 of our own money since the beginning of December in a desperate attempt to keep running and be able to open in January.

But now our animals are at risk and we have no more money in the pot to do this work without some help.

We have 1200 followers and if everyone donated £1 we would be well over our target and be able to create paddocks and shelters not just for the immediate but to make sure this never happens again.

So please if you can help us keep going, open back up in January and save our animals then please do.
Thank you

Today we had a vet visit for a very poorly Moana, we need lots of well wishes sent her way as we are unsure she is going to survive whatever is wrong with her, she's got lots of medication and we are doing all we can to get her through.

We also have a poorly Wilma sheep with a nasty case of mastitis so another sheep on antibiotics and painkillers.

Vets bills are mounting, feed bills are huge and we currently have no income or funding.
We are struggling to keep afloat.
There are just 2 of us trying to manage everything.

If you can please donate to our gofundme to make sure we can reopen in January we would be incredibly grateful ❤️

Thank you once again to the amazing vets at Derwent Vale Farm Vets for not only their swift visit but for helping us with our animals

If you've visited the farm, you'll have heard me ask your child this.

So I'd love it if you could too!

The reason behind this is because not only does it get our children thinking about what they are really good at, it gives us a chance to tell them all the things we thing they are super at!
It also encourages them to talk positively about themselves.

So ask what their superpower is and start getting into the habit of speaking kindly to ourselves!

Please share with us your children's superpower! (And yours too!)

Our first eggs are in the incubator!
From the lovely Hackness Hatchery !
As this is our very first time we are hoping it's successful but follow our journey to see if we get chick's in January!

Guess below of what breed they might be!
(I've tagged where we got them from so you can get some clues)

So as you all know, we were hit quite hard by flooding. It's meant we need to create more paddocks for the animals, it's meant vets bills when the ground has been to wet for our animals feet.
We need to have a few more sheds and coops to create more spaces they can be warm and dry.

So we are asking for help, we've self funded this so far but we have reached a limit where we are only just managing to cover the rent and bills.

To make sure we can reopen in January and help lots more children and schools we really need some help from our community.

Our go fund me currently has 10% of our target.
Let's see if we can increase this.
We would hugely appreciate all donations and shares.

The link for the go fund me is in the comments ❤️❤️❤️❤️
