The weekend's shaping up to be a scorcher, with yellow heat warnings in place across parts of the UK.
☀️ Did you know 75% of heatstroke cases in dogs are caused by exercising on a hot day?
Please avoid walking your dog during the hottest parts of the day. Instead, head out early in the morning or later in the evening when it's cooler.

****Heat Alert*****. Tarmac, artificial grass and concrete all heat up so quickly in the sun - your dog will be safer in cooled areas rather than being out in this heat - 'top tip' step out bare foot and test the ground yourself, paws are sensitive and can burn. Please don't let dogs lie out in the blazing sun.
For welfare breaks wet the ground with cool water prior to letting your dog out.
Keep your pooches and yourself safe and out of the direct sunlight and heat.
At Paws & Claws we go out extra early, hose down our yard and set up pools around site but most importantly rest in the heat - welfare breaks are all on grass and dogs are kept cool indoors in their rooms. Stay safe folks and keep your pooches indoors, sunstroke is extremely dangerous and dogs can fall ill very quickly..
