Last week, our vet Emma who has a certificate in imaging hosted an in-person CPD event to our member practices at the Sevenoaks branch all about how referring to us for CT can benefit their own patient and client care plus understanding which cases can be referred for advanced imaging. Thank you to Emma for being a great speaker and for everyone that came along! 💙

We’re so proud of Sophie Eager, who not only holds a Behaviour Certificate but is also working towards her Behaviour Degree! 🏅

Sophie has been working with a patient called Nova at our Maidstone clinic since she was just 8 months old. When Nova first started, she was terrified of vet visits, hiding under chairs and needing to be carried into the consult room.

Fast forward 6-7 months, and Nova is now calmly sitting on her settle mat in the consult room for full examinations! 🙌 Sophie introduced the settle mat as a positive reinforcement tool, helping Nova associate vet visits with comfort and consent.

Nova now confidently waits on her mat in the waiting room and no longer hides in fear.

Through a combination of desensitisation techniques, positive training, and plenty of rewards (treats and personal space), Sophie has helped Nova become more relaxed and open to the care she needs to stay healthy.

It’s truly inspiring to see the difference Sophie’s dedication has made for Nova and we couldn’t be more proud of their progress! 🐾💖

Here's a bit of a different story for you today! 🦆

hashtag Ariel the goose visited the Sevenoaks branch to see exotics specialist vet Mark Rowland, when her owner was concerned that she was wobbly.

After careful examination, Ariel was admitted to the hospital where the team took a blood samples, administered medications, syringe fed and helped to rehydrate her. Ariel stayed at the Sevenoaks Hospital where she got 24/7 with the out of hours team! She was reunited the next morning with her other feathered companions!

We are very happy that Ariel is feeling better and that she is back home! Good job team! 👏🏻 ❤️

What an incredible team we have! One of the new duty vets, Lucy ran the Yorkshire marathon last weekend AND is running the London marathon next year for 40tude curing colon cancer 🥰 We wish her the best of luck! 🏃🏻‍♀️👏🏻
