Hi everyone!

Sorry we have been so useless posting stuff we have been very busy with jobs that needed doing after the lockdown had been eased 😊 here’s a picture of the horses they are doing very well and getting a bit to fat !! 😂

Good Morning everyone 😊😊

We are sadly on the hunt for a new livery yard for our rescues, we currently have 4 horses/ponies but there are plenty more needing either; retirement, rescuing, a forever home to live out their final years ❤️

Where we are at the moment is lovely and peaceful but we have just lost our field shelter and unfortunately do not have access to stables.

We are looking for a yard that we can either rent or lease that has a minimum of 8 stables, would like a school (some rescues need rehabilitating) and at least 15-20 acres of land. This can be set up in paddocks or open land.

Currently the 4 rescues share a 10 acre field and live as a herd, as natural as possible, we would like to keep it this way as 2 are quite old
and are enjoying the company of the younger 2 ❤️

Please can you be our eyes and ears on the ground and let us know of any livery yards for rent 🙏🏻?

Most are advertised between the people they know and not publicly, so if you hear of any in the south Somerset/ North Dorset area... be sure to let us know 🤪🤪

Please please PLEASE!!! Never feed horses you see on your walks!
You don’t know if they have allergies or m if the plants you are pulling up with the grass would be poisonous.

Pet/stroke horses if you want to show them affection but nothing else.

Thank you 😊

A charity warns that many people do not realise the poisoning risk posed by feeding horses.

We had a phone call at 7am this morning to say one of the horses was stuck. In my hast I thought they were stuck in barbed wire 😮😫

Turns out Orbit had his leg caught in in his rug, huge tear later and he was free 🙄🙄

Looks like we are seeing a rug up 😂😂🤷🏼‍♀️

George AND Orbit now have huge patches of fur falling out 😓
We are thinking it’s rain scold, so off to get an antiseptic wash.

Just wow!!
We can barely see George’s ribs now 😍
This boy is really coming on leaps and bounds!
George had badly over grown feet when he was rescued, after having his feet trimmed, he struggled to walk.
After a while in the field (where the ground was soft), George became less sensitive on his feet. Now, he walks with confidence, and he has started to trust us already 😍 even his tail has started to thicken out 👏🏻👏🏻

George’s coat is so shiny aswell. So after a groom, breakfast and a couple of apples he was ready to rejoin his friends in the field to enjoy the sunshine.
We are so happy with how they are coming along ❤️

Orbit is finally starting to make a noticeable difference in his body condition.

It has been a long and slow process with Orbit as he has seemed a little more stressed than George, he is always on edge.

Orbit is slowly starting to trust us, and we know with more love and time, he will become a wonderful friend ❤️
