Fake CAREWASH offers...........
It has been reported to us that someone is offering CAREWASH out for sale in a 750ml bottle using our labels.
I’d like to make it clear that Carewash, KennelClear and Pioneer are Registered Trade Marks - internationally. Two years ago we prosecuted a company for offering our products in different containers at knock down prices. It cost them a bucket full of money.
We will not hesitate to prosecute. This also includes copying any part of our website - which is protected by copyright law and each page carries a warning. The minimum fine for this is £1750 plus costs in the UK. In other countries it can be five times that.

Carewash is sold only in a 500ml bottle. The labels have a mark. The caps have a mark. KennelClear is sold as a kit - only - so if you are offered a 750ml bottle of ready made KennelClear it is either fake, or it is being made up and sold illegally. The only exception to this is a dog products company that has a contract with us to sell in particular bottle and brand.

We would appreciate it if anyone is offered Carewash in anything other than our bottles with our labels - if you would let us know.

CV-19 Corona Virus AND NORMAL HAND SOAP
One thing that is not rocket science in the procedures to follow in keeping yourself ahead of infection is washing your hands frequently.
And don’t go out paying totally rip-off prices for some “wonder soap.” “Anti-bacterial” means nothing in this context. CV-19 is a virus, not a bacterium. Government guidelines say that a good “normal” hand soap that has been produced in the standard way has, as part of its action, fatty acids that drape themselves onto the Covid skirt - and then destroy it.
All our soap has been made in the traditional way for over thirty years. Both liquid and hard bar Pioneer soap are made with natural ingredients with no chains of chemical hardeners, stabilisers or perfumery substitutes. Just a very good, normal soap. You and your animal can use them with confidence.

We have been able to negotiate a new hosting company to handle our websites. So we can still stay on the web...after 14 years it would have been quite a wrench to leave. Notohing changes we hope! We make herbal liquid soap for dogs and for horses, herbal bar soap, herbal skin care soap for humans - with the highest concentration of aloe vera of ANY product on sale in the UK (usually 3.5%), and OUR Aloe Vera gel comes from our own leaves processed from our own plants. The same concentration of 3.5% goes into our animal care soaps. Antifungal products are our speciality. Ticks, Fleas, Mites, Midges and flying biting insects are our prime targets for both canine and equine products. Give us a try.

Just updating the page to show that we have RE-INTRODUCED our EQUINE products. Last year we scaled down significantly and dropped our equine products offer. However, so many people have asked for them to be brought back. 98% of horse owners also own at least one dog.

We are continuing to send out our Carewash and KennelClear as and when orders come in. As long as the post office keeps open, we can keep getting our goods to you. Unlike those profiteering, extorting cockroaches out there, who are tripling and quadrupling prices for basics, we will NOT increase our prices, unless the post office increases theirs - and you can see that if they do.

Bad weather makes animals skitty, wary and bad tempered, especially if it is an incoming thunderstorm. Dogs in Florida for example can sense incoming hurricanes because of the pressure changes. And this can be hours ahead of any visible signs of incoming weather. Calming sprays are common in those areas and our KennelCLear worked exceptionally well. The extra amounts of Lavender and Patchouli broaden the response of the recipe. Also brilliant in shows where there are possibly hundreds of dogs around and some short tempers!

ALOE VERA IN CAREWASH PRODUCTION. Thought that we would follow through on our posting that mentioned our Aloe Vera gel that is included in the recipe for CAREWASH Herbal Shampoo for All Dogs.
Our work with Aloe Vera started ten years ago with its inclusion in our Chammar Liquid Soap for human applications. Nowadays Pioneer Herbal only makes products for dogs, so we really concentrate our effort on producing a very high quality soap that can be used with confidence on all dog types.
The aloe vera effect is particularly noticeable on dogs with dense fur, thick curls and either full coat black, or mixed colours. Full coat white is superb too.
Our Alpaca breeder customers use it as it really does do a wonderful job for those lovely animals with their dense fleece, where it is so important that the sheared fleece is of high quality for processing into yarn and mixtures of yarn.
Here are some images which probably speak for themselves. We grow our own plants, produce pups, bring them on up to three years and then process quality leaves.
These images are all of our own plants and our own process for harvesting the gel. Quite simple really, but worth showing. You can see babies and some more mature plants in the polycarbonate house, two year olds in a frame and some mother plants ready for taking pups from.
There are also some tiny plants in two inch pots that need careful nursing. We use a serrated knife(a bread knife is perfect) to slice the sharp edges off the leaves, and then to carefully remove the top layer of thick skin.
The gel is transparent and you can see the knife clearly as we slice underneath to remove a half inch thick slice of gel. The gel is stored for 48 hours to allow clearance, and then drained for purity. It is then mixed with a small amount of distilled water and and blitzed for a few minutes.
The correct quantity is measured for the soap batch and stirred in with the planetary mixer with the soap mix. Voila ! 3.5% Aloe Vera Stockton by volume. I do hope that this clears any doubts about our aloe content - it is very generous. But it does an outstanding job on any fleece, coat or fur - and, together with our other ingredients, the underlying skin is brought to a high standard of cleanliness - so important in the control of irritants.

Had a phone call from a customer who was querying the Aloe Vera label on our Carewash Herbal Shampoo. She said that she was paying "a lot more" for her aloe vera soap that she uses for herself in the shower, and it is shown on her label as less than 2% ! Had we got it wrong on our label for dogs? Nope. We actually DO measure our gel so that it is 3.5% by volume for the amount of soap that we are making for that batch. And yes, it is a lot higher percentage than you will find in many soaps manufactured for human applications. In fact I do not know of ANY soap that is made for animal care that includes ANY aloe vera for the skin and coat. But ours does. And ask any owner of, say, a Spanish Water Dog, who uses Carewash, and they will confirm that it really does bring up that coat, fur and curls.

Carewash & KennelClear love their dogs! This curious mum is an Irish Wolfhound. The image is in stark contrast to the size that this little one will grow to. A natural lone hunter of formidable size and stamina, these hounds scent, track and hunt as individuals, rather than be trained to hunt and retrieve in packs. A tough challenge for Carewash and KennelClear - but one that Irish Wolfhound kennels and individual owners have found that we meet time and again!
