Despite a little setback on the 17th I’m doing well! After the seizure on the 17th I was whisked back to North Downs to get checked as I also seemed to have a build up of fluid around the wound on my abdomen. They examined me, extracted some of the fluid for testing, just to be on the safe side, adjusted my meds and were then happy for me to come home.

The tests were all clear and there have been no more seizures so far (fingers crossed!).
I am definitely back to my normal self - with improved vision! I am able to focus more and have even chased a pigeon in the garden.

Also I am so excited as my fur is growing back. Only about a centimetre so far, but at least I’m not half naked anymore!😁

We’re gradually paying off my vet bill, so if anyone can spare a fiver, the link is in the comments.

I’m home!!! It was a long surgery and I’m still not entirely out of the woods yet but I’m recovering well ❤️‍🩹

A recent rescue where our volunteers took this beautiful boy to Mallydams, near Hastings, where they have special facilities for Seals. He was rescued from Minster beach by our wonderful team after discovering suspected lung problems and that kids were throwing stones at him. Wishing him all the best for his recovery and a good life 🦭

The plan has finally come together.
North Downs Specialist Referrals have accepted me onto their list.
The special shunt & supplies have been sourced from Germany & should arrive any day.
The operation is provisionally booked for next week.
I’m so excited!! I need to be fit and ready to keep up with my fundraising duties!

It’s no secret that this is an expensive operation but the lovely volunteers have set up a gofundme to help raise the funds we need.

One of our wonderful volunteers took this little lad for his first injections at Briar House Veterinary Practice for the Kent wildlife rescue service this morning ❤️

He’s so well behaved for such a young pupperooni, which puzzles us as to why he was abandoned on a beach 😕

How cute are these two!! 🥺

Our lovely volunteer Bruno recently released two Kestrel chicks who he had rescued near Blean Wood back in June.

Originally he had found the fluffy critters in the grass verge on the side of a country lane. He was concerned for their welfare and the fact that they could potentially get squished so he took them to us at the centre.

They were very fluffy and I wanted to cuddle them but Lorraine told me I could not 😢.

Bruno then released these beautiful babies back to the field opposite where he found them.

I had a pawtastic time at Kent County Show getting lots of cuddles and fusses over the weekend!

Thank you to everyone who donated towards my operation and to the care of my animal friends!

The weather was all over the place and the thunder frightened me!!! But at least we ended up with a wonderful rainbow 🌈 🦊

It’s been a long, hot day! Lucky I’ve found some shade at Kent Wildlife Rescue.

A Fox Cub got stuck in a car wheel in someone's garden this morning and they called KWRS. We couldn't get him out so we drove it to Broadway vets in Herne Bay. The vet anaesthatised the cub and I called Kent Fire Services who agreed to come and cut him out. As soon as the cub became drowsy and limp with the anaesthetic though it became possible for the vet to ease him out of the hole and we cancelled the Fire Services call out. The concerned father Fox had watched us in the garden, the cub's family live there, so we took the cub back there as the vet could find no injuries. After he's come round he will be released back with his family. Thank you to the wonderful vet Sarah, she even gave him some worm and flea treatment, thank you to the Fire Service for being willing to go to the vets to cut the wheel, thank you to the people who have the Fox family living in their garden and called KWRS.
