Does your doggo not like noise ?
Why is it important that your dog allows me to blow dry them?

Maybe your groomer has told you your dog is scared or Wiley for the dryer.
These are reasons why the dryer is an important step in the process and should be mastered by your dog.

1. In order To give an even , not choppy, haircut the hair must be straight. We get the coat straight with the blow dryer.
2. During a deshed the dryer helps push any undercoat out making sure your getting the full service.
3. The drying process it the part of the groom where your groomer can see your dogs skin, therefore able to report any signs of allergies, skin abrasions and more.
4. The high velocity dryer helps loosen any matting your dog has, pushing it from the skin and giving us the ability to give a slightly longer cut in a lot of cases.

Ways we as groomers can help your dog to be more comfortable and calm for drying.

1. We utilize cotton balls and a happy hoodie. A happy hoodie goes over the dogs ears to lighten the sound and provide a comfort with compression.
2. Starting at the back end over a towel on the lower setting will help ease a dog into the process, getting them used to the sound and pressure of the dryer.

Ways you can help your dog at home.

1. Turn the vacuum on and pull out the treats. A high reward treat when the approach the vacumm will train them that the sound is not scary.
2. Baths and blowdryer at home. Simply going through the process with a person they know and trust will build their confidence.

This is Luna and Maggie, Luna doesn’t like her nails being done and the last time they were done she was at the vets under anesthetic but I like a challenge and she stood like a trooper and I trimmed all her nails no fuss or reaction, she absolutely smashed it , I like my clients to feel comfortable in my van and know I’m there to help them , they both had a lovely pamper Maggie was so funny and even photo bombed Lunas after picture , see you in couple of months girls 🐾🐾

This is the beautiful Jessie , she was an absolute star, her nails were very overdue due to previous groomer not working anymore, so here I am Jessie’s new groomer, she had a lovely pamper and was a 🌟, see you next time Jessie 🐾

These 2 little munchkins Rolo and Gizmo, they had a full pamper and deshed , gizmo just wanted cuddles and they were both very well behaved and smashed their Pawfect pamper see you again soon boys 🐾🐾

This little chap is 8 months old , and had his first full hair cut, his owners told me he had been having issues with his toileting and had been making a mess of himself but was fine in himself they had spoken to there vet but because he was eating drinking and playing they wasnt worried.
During his bath I checked his a**l glands which isn’t included in a normal groom but I can do this at an extra charge , reason I dont include this is because they shouldn’t be done unless there is an issue or has previously had them done because as soon as they show and issue and have to have their a**l glands emptied they will then regularly need them doing or it can cause more issues.
Anyways , this little guys a**l glands were absolutely over full and his back end was swollen once emptied and cleaned up by the end of the groom his little bum was looking normal again
Now this little chap will need them checking regularly and is now a regular client
He was such a playful little chap and was a pleasure to groom see you soon xx

This is 11 year old Ozzy, he was so gentle and so relaxed he even fell asleep during his pamper , his owner Danny said ‘it was the best groom he’s ever had ‘ as the salon shaves him short without asking what owners preferred , that’s one thing I will always do, consult with owners before the groom starts to see if they have any preferences and I will try my best to achieve the expectations.
Ozzy’s owners work from home so when they came across my advertisement it was ideal for them as taking him to a salon wasn’t ideal and me parking up outside your home is Pawfect 🐾
He is now another regular on my client base

This girlie was so adorable yesterday, her first groom since November last year as it’s took that long for her hair to grow due to a salon just shaving her off as it was easier and quicker for them I’m hearing this a lot lately , I take my time and if they are only have a few matts I work them out as long as it’s in the dogs welfare to do so but always consult with owners if they do have to be shaved due to being matted before hand.
She was na absolute delight had a lovely pamper and a tidy up and in 4-6 weeks will be ready for full groom ###

This is the gorgeous Jagger , her mum was poorly so I was happy to accommodate a last minute address change to her parents , her mum wanted to keep her curls but with a shorter tail as it gets knotted from all her tail wagging , but needed her face trimmed and rounded ears.
Gave her a trim over her body tidied up her face and ears and sorted her tail out and she had a full pamper, her mum said ‘she was very happy with her trim best she’s had ‘ see you again in a few months Jagger 🐾🐾

This is the lovely Callie, a very nervous Staffy would doesn’t like her ears or feet being touched and was desperate for a nail trim, I take my time watching the dogs body language and gaining their trust they get lots of fuss and praise , and she absolutely smashed her pamper session.
She had a full pamper including her nails trimmed back and her ears cleaned shes an absolute star 🌟 see you again Callie xx

Busy day outside ‘ The Black Bull ‘ in Ecclesfield yesterday , which will be a monthly offer, I will be parked up all day in the car park offering £10 discount on every full groom package on that day. How cute is this little one, Betty the sh*tzu puppy, had a playtime puppy pamper for her to get used to the noises and equipment so when she’s ready for her full groom she will be more relaxed , she had a bath and fluff dry brush and I trimmed her face so she can see and tidied her feet up an hygiene trim , see you in 4 weeks Betty ###

So this is Bella, her owner was concerned about her fur getting matted as she won’t let him brush her as she wants to play lol , so I sorted the matted bits out gave her a new look and she had a bath with Bugalugs cat no rinse cat shampoo and a spritz of papaya and coconut cologne xx 🐾
