IN SEARCH OF FOREVER HOME ๐ ๐พ
Be quick as we expect lots of applications as puppies are in high demand!!
Key points:
Atlas
9 months old (immature for his age)
Entire male (will be neutered when appropriate)
Alaskan Malamute
Good with most other dogs (females better, no entire males)
Good with children (please be aware he is large and boisterous so may accidentally hurt small children, we don't want to eliminate these homes so please practice common sense and be sensible about what will be ok with you and your children!!)
No small furries even if kept separate as Atlas has a very high prey drive
Must have a garden with a 6ft fence
Malamute experience a bonus but not essential
Heellooooooo!! I'm Atlas and I am coming home with YOU...well, I hope so anyway
My foster mummy says that I can't stay here forever which is fine by me, my foster brothers and sisters are BOOORRRINGGGG and won't play with me!! I try and try but they just get annoyed with me, can you believe THAT?! Annoyed with ME! How am I annoying??
Do you have some brothers or, even better, sisters that would play with me? I'm pretty lonely and bored here which isn't much fun and my foster brothers especially just keep shouting at me which makes me shout back! If you don't have other dogs, that could be fine too if you maybe have friends or family that do so I could still play?
I am a very good boy and I promise I'll only take up a little bit of space, I know this because foster mummy keeps saying things like "do you want to take up any more room Atlas" and "it's alright Atlas don't move, it's not like you're the size of a bear or anything" so I know I'm only small ๐
I'm funny too apparently because the hoomans are always laughing at me and calling me a goofball! It's a bit annoying when I'm trying to shake my head tell them off but they make it up to me with cuddles and playing with me so that makes it okay I guess
I LOVE playing and walking and running and playing and swimming and wooooing at you and playing and my favourite thing ever is chasing the birdies in the garden and the ones that tease me on walks but foster mum says I need to leave the birdies alone...yeah right!! If I wasn't meant to chase them, why is it so fun?? Did I mention I like to play?
I love being outside so I would really like a home with a garden to explore and play in ๐
I am a good boy I swear, I love cuddles and just being with you and I really need a family to call my own that will love me and take care of me for all my life, it makes me upset that the other pups here don't like me very much when I'm only a baby and all I want is to play and be friends ๐
I bet you understand...can you take me home?
Love, licks and woooooos,
Atlas x
From Atlas' foster mum:
God this boy...If my own were more comfortable with him, he absolutely would not be leaving! I know the perfect home is out there waiting for this amazing lad so please, please apply if you think that's you!
Atlas is a big baby and always has a big, goofy grin on his face! There's not a bad bone in his body and he just loves everyone and everything he comes across. When he first meets another dog, his first reaction is to fall to the floor and give them kisses. He seems to know his size can be a bit intimidating so he lays down to seem less of a threat. He is sooo playful, he's desperate to play with my lot but they're either older or scared of his size! Atlas can get a little rough in play so I think large dogs would be best for him to play with however he is fine with our small dog (5kg) after she made it very clear she wasn't going to play with him and tries to play with our huskies. Any dogs must be confident but kind and patient so Atlas can learn without any of them going too far! We think Atlas could live without other dogs as long as you were active, had a garden, didn't leave him alone too long and he had opportunities to play with dogs.
He hasn't lived with children before but has met quite a few children on walks and has been absolutely perfect. As I said, he's very big, playful and boisterous so may accidentally hurt a child so common sense is needed! He's pretty fab on the lead and rarely pulls, it's only if he gets excited and pulls towards something that he can be very strong so a walking belt is a good idea.
Atlas isn't really left alone here but when we did have to, he was fine for a couple of hours then got upset so he can be left for short periods and then build up to longer times.
He is such a loving, friendly boy and loves a cuddle
