Well that's it our last walk of 2024, try as I might to get plenty of pictures to end our walking year my fingers were frozen and the gloves had to go back on.
So here's what I did manage to take.

It's becoming apparent that with the cold weather, people aren't recognising me when I am out and about. I've had a few oh I didn't recognise you etc so a little reminder of what I currently look like ! 😂😂 and yes complete with facial hair ...thanks menopause 🧔‍♀️🧔‍♀️👍👍

Well our penultimate walk of 2024 and where has this year gone!! Let's hope Winter goes just as fast lol. So bitterly cold temperatures today but no gale force winds, can't have it all ways I suppose.
Lots of pottering about in the winter sunshine and the obvious games of chase from the Staffs Diesel and Mills.

Wow how bad was the wind today 😬😬
I struggled at times to move forward, the pooches bless them were not happy. High winds really stress some of them out. So it was on lead for them for their safety.
Obviously no pictures as I had my hands full with the pooches and don't forget trying to keep that poo bag in situ whilst picking up in gale force winds😧💩💨

Well only 2 weeks to go until we hang up the leads for Christmas. Our last walking day is Friday 20th, resuming Monday the 6th.
So today...... well no pictures for various reasons lol, Diesel definitely didn't have his listening ears on, Millie was back with the group although like velcro! Blue bless him wasn't too happy at the Christmas decorations at home, and found them quite scary ( doesn't he know about Santa's Paws lol) fortunately after a while he had a blast with his new pal Nala the Rottie. So hands full and eyes peeled ensuring everyone was OK.

Here's a thought for all you dog owners.
Do you think your dog needs to be walked for X numbers of hours per day every day 7 days a week 52 weeks a year ?
My personal opinion is no! And please feel free to disagree with me on this one.
Do you work 7 days a week 52 weeks a year .....no
What do you do when you are off work? Chill out, relax, do something different, a change from the normal routine?
Do you secretly like doing nothing someday?
Dogs need time to chill out too believe it or not, rest and relaxation is good for their mental wellbeing, their cortisol levels will drop etc
I'm not saying no interaction, play games and really interact on a one to one basis, bond without any distractions.
My dogs ALWAYS get the weekend off, something I've always done.
Do they pester me? No. Restless, waiting at the door to go out ( and yes they know the weekday time/routine) No, Do they sleep in with me a big fat Yes lol
Every dog is different, listen to your dog, learn from your dog.
Maybe controversial but Milo is now 10 1/2 and doing very well !

It's FRIYAY and Diesel has proper sulked all week long assuming it's because his little sidekick Millie has been absent. Until today that was ... all will be revealed 😉

Millie Update, the antibiotics are kicking in, she's had a little potter around the block and only had a few breathing issues on the way home.
She's definitely got the face on at not being out with the group.... Trust me the little face staring at me out of the window when Milo and myself leave is heartbreaking 😭😭😭
If she continues to improve I may let her join us on Friday, we'll see how she goes 🤞🤞🤞
