Important Update to Written Prescriptions – From 1st December 2025

To help keep our clients and pets safe, and in response to the recent rise in online prescription fraud nationwide, we’re updating how written prescriptions are handled at Malthouse Vets.

From 1st December, all written prescriptions will be emailed directly from our vets to your chosen online pharmacy.
Clients will no longer receive copies themselves.

Here’s what you need to know ⬇️

✔️ Please allow at least 48 hours for processing (plus the pharmacy’s dispatch time)
✔️ Place your online order first
✔️ Then email us your order number + pharmacy details
✔️ Pets need a 6-monthly health check for chronic meds and 12-monthly for parasiticides

📨 Full details will be sent to all clients via PetsApp — please keep an eye on your messages.

This gorgeous little Dogs Trust terrier has been part of our Pet Health Plan family for years, and we absolutely adore him! 🐾

Now entering his golden years, his lovely parents have upgraded him to our Malthouse Wellness Plan Unlimited (Senior) 🩵

That means all the benefits of our regular plan plus unlimited consultations (so we can keep on top of any little changes without worrying about consult fees) and yearly blood and urine tests to help spot any issues early.

He was, of course, looking very cute for his treats during his visit today 🐶💛

IMPORTANT NOTICE

The practice will be closed for whole team training on Wednesday 12th November between 12 and 2pm.

You may have noticed we’ve been working really hard to make visits as calm and positive as possible for our patients - and we’re excited to be building on that with training from a fellow veterinary professional, focused on reducing stress and anxiety for pets in the consult room, waiting area, and behind the scenes.
