We provide a wide range of training and dog behavioral services to suit you and your pet. We offer both group and one-to-one sessions on:

- Socialisation training for puppies
- Sessions tailored for the needs of dogs with behavioral issues
- Classes for children and their dogs

but if things aren't going right it can be a nightmare. We will show you how to build a strong and rewarding bond with your dog that will be based on trust, understanding and compassion. Chewing, aggression, recall and other problems are very common and in most cases making changes to the dog-human relationship will fix the issues. Getting to the root of the problem is a behaviourists job, we observe, act, educate and guide you in how to address the issues and fix them. We have many years experience of working with owners and their pets to provide quick and workable solutions to these problems. It’s blowing a hoolie out there 💨

Be sure to check your gates and fences before letting your dogs in the garden and be careful on walks, the wind can not only spook some dogs it will mean your voice may not be heard if you are trying to recall your dogs.

We have just had confirmation from the rescue that despite everything they did the adopter, who was facilitated by the vet, has killed him and Mr Bones is Dead

We are now making a public promise to the rescue that we will fight for Mr Bones as hard as we have fought for Tuk.

We are beyond angry this was allowed to happen and speechless at the cruelty this vet practice has shown today.

I was one of the people outside that vet practice today while they hid behind locked doors and called the police on a peaceful protest all the while knowing he was dead.

We send our love and support to the team who fought so hard on his behalf to be given a chance for a better life in the UK.

Today we are ashamed of our animal welfare system in the UK and all its failures.

15/11/24 @ 4pm

Today we have secured a High Court injunction that prohibits the current adopters of Mr Bones from arranging his euthanasia or anyone acting on their behalf. This will be heard by the court again next week.

Thank you just isn’t enough right now for all the support we have received from so many people and organisations.

Once again Paws on Hearts would like to express that we do not condone any form of violence be that verbal or physical and we understand and appreciate how emotive this situation has been.

We have a full donation for all of the veterinary care and attention that Mr Bones may need going forward, however we do need to recoup the legal costs from today which are currently sitting at around 4 thousand pounds.

We will post proof of the legal costs and if you would like to contribute to our case we would be very much appreciative of this .

The paws team will now be guided by our legal team moving forward and as soon as we have any further information to share we will do 🐾

Last but not least our final begginers course saw both Lunas, Kenji and Biscuit get their certificate and well earned! We saw such a change in these pups and their focus has improved so big well done to all owners for putting in the effort with homework it truly showed!
And with a tear in our eye we make this the very final post celebrating the end of a course rotation. We hope you learned everything you hoped and keep up the good work!

Today is our very last class.

The end has come and it hurts a lot but I know it is for the best. I don't think I can face being present today, I haven't been at classes for a long time and though part of me wants to be there for the last one I really don't think I can.

We move forward now with K9 Scent & Search UK and stop trying to split our focus.

A big thank you to all of our clients, past and present who made K9 Solutions such as success.

We started in 2003 in a hall in Basildon that is now a housing estate, I don't have many photos from back then, it was before the age of digital cameras and mobile phones with cameras!
We moved from there to Fryerns in Basildon & opened St Marys in Southend as well as our much loved classes in Leigh on Sea.
When we took on the center in Canvey, the Basildon classes closed a couple of years later and then St Marys closed after lockdown in 2020.
My passion for scentwork consumed all my time and I stopped teaching in 2020, with the odd appearance at Leigh or Canvey. Sue, Dawn, Ed, Ellen, Alison & Cat kept them going but now is time to say Goodbye.
Please keep sharing your memories of your time with us.

People have asked if I am staying in the area and the answer is a resounding yes, I still have K9 Scent & Search UK, Completely K9 Hydrotherapy & Rehabilitation & Pawzazz if you fancy getting involved in nosework, your dog needs a swim or a groom.

After 21 wonderful years, it's time to close the doors on this chapter.

The end of an era.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to every single one of you who has been part of this journey – from the amazing people who worked late nights, stood out in the rain and gave up their weekends for so many years - Les, Jim, Dawn, Sally, Mike, Emma, Alison, Sue, Ed, Ellen, Alison & Cat - so we could help so many people and their dogs achieve their goals. I am forever grateful for the huge roles you played in K9 Solutions success.

To all of our clients over the years who trusted us with their puppies and dogs and who have always been so loyal and supportive, my gratitude.

Together, we’ve shared so many memories, milestones, and moments that I’ll carry with me forever. Your trust, support, and passion have been the driving force behind every success, every challenge overcome, and every day that we made a difference.

Though this chapter has ended, the friendships and memories live on.
