Yay! I made it to 13! After such a difficult start, I am now loving life, purring way more than I used to.
Of course, I am still interminably grumpy, and swap 'spots' on a weekly, daily, and sometimes hourly basis.

The woman I own is delighted to see me using the spot under the stairs which she set up for me over 5 years ago. It's a tall box with lots of snuggly throws and blankets.
I can't believe I had not found it sooner.
Bye bye box in pantry, on kitchen table, in the study etc.
I will probably get fed up of it in two weeks, but it'll do for now.
