Alongside our boarding facilities for your smaller animals, we can also offer cat and dog “check in” visits in your home to feed/water your animals whilst you’re at work!

Full price list will be available tomorrow once the website is live, but wanted to give you all some figures early!

£9 per Bunny, £14 for 2 sharing a hutch.
£7 per Guinea, £12 for 2 and £3 each per additional Pig.
£5 per Hamster.

I can also offer nail clipping for an additional £5 per animal.

Hello everyone!
Paws For Thought Small Animal Boarding is a brand new home boarding service coming soon based in Bitterne, providing quality care for your small animals whilst you’re away!!

About us:
Paws for Thought is run by myself, Stacey. I have over 30 years experience with a wide range of animals, including work in veterinary practices which involved administering medications, performing health checks and using the correct handling procedures. I am a certified Level 3 Veterinary Nursing Assistant and can show my qualification upon request. I am fully insured and can cater for a wide variety of small animals, including but not limited to:
Rabbits
Guinea Pigs
Hamsters
Mice
Birds
Chinchillas
Tortoise
Reptiles

Every animal will have their own living space (or shared with their bonded pair if applicable) and will not mix with other boarders. This is to prevent any aggression and to prevent spreading of illness.

Vaccination cards will be checked before boarding where appropriate, and after every visit all enclosures and runs will be disinfected with Veterinary approved disinfectant. Each enclosure will also have its own cleaning equipment.

Your pet will be provided with all Hay, Grass and fresh fruits and vegetables, all dietary needs can be catered for. I only ask that you provide their dry pellet food as animals have sensitive stomachs and I wouldn’t want to upset their usual diet!

Animals will be health checked every morning and I can administer regular medications for individuals where required.
