Dash the Tibetan Terrier or commonly referred to as a TT. He's in a modified full coat. So not long to the floor and the face is clear. We also cut his belly hair short to reduce the brushing required. So he has curtains front, back and sides. 🤣 If you open them there's nothing behind!

Finley is a collie x whippet. He's a bit of an anxious boy and isn't keen on other dogs. Hence why he's always in training. 💕

Lily the Ragdoll cat comes in for a regular bath, blow dry, trim and tidy. She's an easy cat to do. Confident and doesn't get stressed by her visit to me. I pick her up and drop her back to her owners as they don't drive. 🐾 🥰

Lily is an elderly lady and had been struggling to look after her coat which had got a bit matted. So much so that her whole body need to be clipped off. She wasn't too impressed but I'm sure she felt much better once she'd got over the groom itself. 🐾🐈‍⬛

Eric the Border Terrier visited for a handstrip. You would think that dogs wouldn't like having their hair pulled out, but actually it comes out quite easily and the dogs aren't overly bothered by the process. I often find dogs get more anxious by the sound and sensation of clippers. Hand stripping is only suitable for certain breeds. 🐾 🥰

Lily is a Ragdoll cat. This was her first visit for a bath and blow dry... she did very well. 🥰

Bailey's coat had got a bit overgrown and in a tangle as he couldn't get an appointment with his usual groomer. So I've taken him on... the kindest thing to do for him (and me) was clip it all off and start again.

He also struggles with persistent ear infections so it's better to keep his ears clipped short to improve air flow down the ear canal.

Betsy... she's supposed to be a cockerpoo but both myself and the owner agree she's more likely a full cocker as the whole litter looked the same. I think mum didn't mate with the dog she was supposed to! 😂 😊 🤔 She's a lovely dog nevertheless.

Archie the bouncing #Maltipoo! He was desperate to play with Hippo the #ShihTzu. So he kept bouncing the whole time he was on the floor! Hippo didn't quite know what to make of it all. 😉😊🙃❤

Why Trixie & Bess

Trixie and Bess were two collie cross dogs which I grew up with during the 1970s. Trixie was my grandparents dog and Bess her daughter, who belonged to my aunt and uncle.

Trixie wasn’t supposed to have puppies but she had a habit of taking herself for a walk down to the beach in Paignton and wasn’t spayed (this was the 1970s remember). She had three puppies, two boys and Bess which my aunt and uncle kept.

Like many people who train as a pet groomer, it’s a second career. My first one being a graphic designer (which I still do at k-creative).

As a child I was always interested in animals and looked at working with them as a career. But decided I wasn’t intelligent enough to be a vet and it was too hard to make a living working with horses.
