🐱 November Ukraine Update 🐶

The bombing in the South seems to have increased this month. There are many civilian casualties on a regular basis in Kherson, and each day when we drive to the clinic it is a risk to be on the road due to falling shrapnel, and the bombs themselves.

We are now all too familiar with a deep “boom” throughout the day and night: the sound of incoming missiles. The fact is it shakes the walls of our little clinic, and wakes us in the night. Ear plugs for the win here!

And yet heroic volunteers can’t be stopped from heading out and bringing us street animals who need care. 🫂💛

In November in Ukriane we completed:

443 sterilisations which consisted of
👉 173 female dogs
👉 26 male dogs
👉 224 female cats
👉 20 male cats

443 animals were vaccinated for rabies and we sent hundreds of parasite treatments to remote villages around the frontline in Kherson 🩺

We were able to work not just in Kherson, but also in shelters and on the streets in the Odessa region, to access so many special animals who are now living on the streets, having been abandoned during the war 🐶🐱

UKRAINE PROJECT UPDATE 🇺🇦

From the 24th of October to the 13th of November, we carried out another big sterilisation mission in Ukraine.

We worked on the frontline in Kherson and shelters and shipping yards around Odessa, spaying and neutering another 430 dogs and cats!

Thank you vets and .vet.cat and nurses and who worked every hour of the day, committing a month to the mission.
They worked in clinics, factories, houses and out-buildings, more than once having to rely entirely on headtorches, as bombing disrupted electricity.

There is a lot of bombing in these areas, and it takes a disposition of steel to work here, never mind keep a steady hand during surgery as the city around you is hit.

Thank you who darted many stray dogs for us so we could bring help to the most inaccessible and scared animals. Crawling under houses, and ships, and through bushes to collect the innocent victims of war.

Thank you who continue to support our mission, and .foundation who always strive to provide vaccines and supplies, so our presence has maximum impact.

We need you to help us stay in Ukraine.
Please consider us over the coming festive period and if you can help us keep up Operation Ukraine, please consider supporting us. 🐱🐶

Every penny counts.
