This gorgeous boy's owner contacted me because walking him had become a total nightmare.
β’
He was dragging, zigzagging, barking, lunging, and obsessively sniffing and peeing.
β’
No matter how much you love your dog, this isn't enjoyable.
β’
And the chances are your dog isn't actually enjoying it either.
β’
So we had a good chat about the type of energy our dogs need us to feed in to their lives.
β’
And we spoke about calm leadership, and calm affection.
β’
Then we headed out to get some results.
β’
We taught him what the lead means, and that the human is leading the walk.
β’
We rewarded him generously for the behaviour we wanted.
β’
And he completely blew us away.
β’
The plan is to stay heavy on the rewards for a week and slowly reduce.
β’
It's about balance.
β’
Carrot and stick.
β’
Except there's no stick.
β’
And there's no carrot either.
β’
But there's consequences and rewards.
β’
And once your dog understands these, everything just falls in to place.
β’
If you'd love a miracle transformation just like this, please contact me for help.
β’
I can show you how to communicate effectively to achieve the results you want and need.
This has NOT been an easy journey.
This has been HARD WORK.
This was NOT fixed with an hour of online training.
And there certainly was no magic wand.
Lucy has been going to training since 12 weeks old.
She's a smart obedient dog, no doubt that she's done well at her classes.
HOWEVER...
The methods used just weren't helping her when it came to walking in real life.
This was creating a whole heap of frustration at both ends of the lead.
Her owner reached out, we chatted lots, and we made a plan.
We had to alter the plan, more than once.
We had to find what worked for Lucy.
We had to address many issues.
We never gave up.
Lucy's owner refused to quit.
She came back every week, she sent me videos between sessions, she questioned me, she questioned herself, she questioned why.
But she never quit.
She's not done yet.
There's lots more to do.
But now she can enjoy walking Lucy, and she's facing her fears every day.
I refuse to let anyone else take credit for this transformation, @jacquipriest has worked her arse off, and the credit belongs to her, no one else.

Hugo the Labrador had gotten so out of control that his human couldn't walk him. He's been kicking off at dogs, chasing bikes, and upsetting humans. He was pulling like a train on the lead, and wouldn't take treats so training seemed impossible. Luckily the human didn't give up and after being recommended she contacted me.
I went to their home, we had a quick chat and got straight to work. His walking went really well so we popped in to the park to give him a little challenge. We showed him what we expected (focus on the human), what was allowed (a brief glance at the surroundings) and what wasn't (staring and fixating) he got the idea pretty quick and this mage him much calmer which meant he was relaxed enough to earn treats.
This is an ENORMOUS first step for Hugo and watching his owners confidence increase during the session was wonderful to see.
I can't wait for next week ππΎπ

What are Walk, Talk, and Train activities???
Well, they're pretty much what they say on the tin.
We walk as a group, we rotate walk leaders so all dogs learn to manage "not being at the front" we do simple training in challenging environments to build our dogs' confidence, and we chat (or not) about whatever we like; work, family, dogs, our training journeys, or even shoes and handbags if that's more your style. We just enjoy each other's company while making progress and being super proud of our dogs because a lot of these dogs have over come huge struggles to be able to enjoy walks like this.
These activities are just as good for the owner's well being as for the dog and this is why they're one of my favourite things to do.
I'm the Prestige Puppy Coach. I'm not like the others. Your relationship with your dog is paramount to any training progress, and I'm here to make it happen.
If you want in, get in touch. I'm not scary. I'm honest. I'm not here to rip people off. I'm here for you, and your dog, and the change you need.

I can't take credit for this!!! Reggie's mom already taught him that pulling wasn't going to be rewarding for him, we just needed a little fine tuning regarding sniffing and stopping and changing sides, now he's walking like a dream and even his little human is confident enough to take the lead, knowing that Reggie will follow instruction.
I love when client's put this much effort in, and I can't wait to see Reggie on our group walks and activities

Sometimes the little things can become really big things. This wasn't planned for today's session but just popped up in conversation. Calm confidence and leadership are key here. Reggie had to know he wouldn't be forced, but he also had to know he could trust us to remain relaxed while we built his confidence.
He's been totally transformed from the dog i met less than a month ago.
He's gone from being absolutely psychotic and ridiculously noisy and rude, to a loving happy member of the family. I'm so happy for Reggie and his new family, their hard work has really paid off and he's a credit to their determination and consistency.
If you're having issues you need support with, please get in touch and we can get straight to work. Imagine where you could be in a month's time...

How many of us are guilty of treating our dogs as babies??
And it's not just little dogs, I've seen people treat their big dogs like tiny humans.
Now I'm not in anyway suggesting that you shouldn't ADORE your dog. I idolise mine. But I'm reminding you that your dog is so wonderful because they're a dog, and when we treat them as something they're not, just because we feel we can, or because people on social media do, then we're asking for problems to arise.
You wouldn't do well asking an elephant to behave like a shark, so please treat your dog the way that's best, like a dog, that's how they'll thrive best.. ππΎβ€οΈ
Your dog thinks you're amazing π
You feed them, walk them, play with them, and love them.
Ultimately, you're their world... Right?
What if I could make things even better?
What if I could take your relationship to the next level?
This is how...
I can teach you how to better communicate with your canine best friend, I can show you how to really engage their brain so they're mentally fulfilled, as well as physically tired.
I can demonstrate how to instil good manners so that your dog will be welcome anywhere.
I can give you a partnership other owners wish they had with their dogs.
Do you and your dog want to be the envy of your friends? Of course you do.
Get in touch for more details. πΎπ€πΎ
