It's all becoming very real.

I walk round this place numerous times a day, with a silly grin, and saying out loud "I bloody love my life"

100% focused

100% committed

100% at peace ✌️

I've always found a bit cringe, but I can't think of a better way to describe my life right now.

I've kept my head down, I've worked my arse off, and I've been as kind as possible even to people who haven't deserved it.

(I've also called plenty of people absolute nob heads, don't get the wrong idea of me here 🤣🤣, I'm a good person, not a soft sh*te 🤣)

But the universe is absolutely rewarding my efforts and I'm so thankful.

Team Prestige is thriving in the new location and we're welcoming new faces every day.

If a behaviour is unwanted, then it shouldn't matter what size the dog is, it's still an unwanted behaviour.

Whether it's reactivity, disobedience, jumping, pulling, knocking people over, stealing food, peeing in the house, whatever whatever.

"It's because he's so big"
And
"It's because she's so small"

Are absolute bullsh1t excuses and you need to stop using them.



Teach your dog what's expected, enforce the rules, and hold your dog accountable, whether they're little or large.

Your dog will thrive with the new structure and when they're confident in you as a leader, they'll become confident within themselves too.

So if you've let your dog's size become a get out clause for some undesirable antics, give me a shout and we can sort it out.

Letting your dog take the absolute p**s out of you because you're desperate for their love is wrong on so many levels it's just untrue.

I f*cking adore dogs.

Dogs acting like dogs.

Dogs living a fulfilled, genetically appropriate lifestyle.

And, because I love dogs I would never consider treating them as my baby in any way.

And I absolutely would never give them authority over me or any of my loved ones.

That would be doing them a huge disservice.

Treat your dog as a dog.

Boundaries.

Structure.

Discipline.

Personal space.

Time away.

Not sharing your plate.

You get the picture.

Hopefully I haven't offended you too much to ask for help.

But yet again, I said what I said.

Like, who's actually to blame here?

I'll give you a clue, it's not the dog!

Imagine I kidnapped you and took you to a foreign country where you didn't understand the language, the customs, and the laws.

And then imagine you didn't get out for enough fresh air and exercise.

And then imagine I took away your phone and any books you might like to read, stopped you going to the gym, and removed the opportunity for any hobbies that you enjoy like learning languages, or drawing, or cooking, or playing football.

And then imagine every time I saw you dropping off, I disturbed you so only ever got a quick power nap.

And then imagine on top of all that, I sent you to work in a new job. But you didn't know what the job was, or what you're expected to do, and no one speaks your language so they can't explain it to you.

They just yell at you in words you don't understand every time you do something wrong.

Think about this for a minute.

You'd go crazy wouldn't you?

You'd get frustrated, stressed, anxious, and angry.

Does this sound like your dog?

You need to tick all the boxes of your dog's genetic needs, and you need to teach your dog what's expected of them.

When you've done that you can hold your dog accountable, but not before.

So if your dog is being a bit of a pleb, I'm NOT sorry to say its likely to be your fault.

If you want help now that I've offended you, get in touch asap to discuss your needs.

Or if I've really really offended you ask someone else for help, but please stop blaming and berating your dog for your f**k ups.

The Art of Doing Nothing is an important life skill.

As long as your dog has been physically exercised, mentally stimulated, fed, watered, and toileted, then you don't need to provide 24/7 entertainment.

It's OK for them to be bored.

In fact it will really help them long term.

A dog who can switch off and relax is a much more enjoyable companion.

"Yeah but my dog will destroy my house if they're bored"

Yes, because its a skill that a lot of dogs haven't learnt, or more often have been set up to believe you're going to to amuse them constantly.

And the chances are, you're not genetically fulfilling them.

Place training and create training are perfect ways to begin this behaviour.

I call it "Actively Doing Nothing"

It's not the same as snoozing next to you on the sofa.

And even if the trainer has ALL the knowledge in the world, which they don't...

Results aren't based on their knowledge.

Results are based on the implementation of change by all parties involved, and control of external circumstances.

THEY CAN'T GUARANTEE THAT!!!

It's impossible.

Stop falling for people's bullsh1t on social media.

Great trainers will give you the cold, hard truth.

They'll ask you to commit to a programme where YOU are involved in the training too.

You'll have to understand that you're going to change your habits, your mindset, your behaviour.

And then they'll say success is POSSIBLE.

But never guaranteed.

Be careful who you spend your money with.

So before you go yelling at your dog, and don't even think about the rolled up newspaper bu****it, go and take a good hard look in the mirror and ask yourself who's actually responsible for your dog's actions.

Your dog doesn't know any better if you haven't taught it any better.

And if you're struggling to teach them what you expect, you may need some help with communication.

Luckily I'm an expert in this.

Allowing your puppy off lead to run up to dogs you don't know could be absolutely disastrous.

It's incredibly irresponsible.

"She's only a puppy" makes no difference whatsoever to a dog that doesn't want to be approached.

"She just wants to say hi" could get your dog seriously hurt, or worse.

Dogs who don't want to be charged at have equal rights to public spaces like parks and country walks.

If your dog is going to ignore you and run over to every dog you come across, especially when they're far in the distance, you NEED to pop them on a long line and revisit your recall training.

If you need some guidance on recall, ask for help.

Stop putting your dog's safety in the hands of other people, and their dogs.

Be respectful and considerate, be a good human 🤍

We've finished today, a day later than planned because I'm Me...

Thank you so much to everyone for the gifts, cards, and special messages.

I adore you all and I'm so very grateful.

I'm so thankful for being fortunate in working with so many incredibly dedicated owners and dogs, all of them brighten my days, especially when they're pushing the buttons 🤣

I'm looking forward to spending time with my family and my own dogs and preparing for a fabulous 2025.

Again, thank you all for being part of Team Prestige.

This gorgeous boy's owner contacted me because walking him had become a total nightmare. • He was dragging, zigzagging, barking, lunging, and obsessively sniffing and peeing. • No matter how much you love your dog, this isn't enjoyable. • And the chances are your dog isn't actually enjoying it either. • So we had a good chat about the type of energy our dogs need us to feed in to their lives. • And we spoke about calm leadership, and calm affection. • Then we headed out to get some results. • We taught him what the lead means, and that the human is leading the walk. • We rewarded him generously for the behaviour we wanted. • And he completely blew us away. • The plan is to stay heavy on the rewards for a week and slowly reduce. • It's about balance. • Carrot and stick. • Except there's no stick. • And there's no carrot either. • But there's consequences and rewards. • And once your dog understands these, everything just falls in to place. • If you'd love a miracle transformation just like this, please contact me for help. • I can show you how to communicate effectively to achieve the results you want and need.
