Every moment with your dog teaches them something, because they are ALWAYS learning whether you like it or not.

If the house is loud and walks feel like a race — that’s what they’re learning to live in 😅

Calm isn’t just a mood that comes naturally to a lot of dogs, it’s a skill.

And if you don’t show them what calm looks like, chaos becomes the default.

While it might look cute or funny at first, it's really not healthy for your dog.

So slow down.
Take a breath.
Work on the quiet moments as much as the flashy ones.

That’s where the real training happens 👌

You can’t fool a dog. They read vibes, not vocab.

If you’re saying “calm down” but your head's at 100mph in 4 directions at once — your dog’s clocked it already 😂

If your "No" actually means "Maybe" they're going to keep going until it becomes a "Yes"

They don’t speak English.
They speak energy, tone and timing.

So before you try another command, check your vibe first.
Because if YOU don’t believe you — neither will they 👀

Possibly the biggest compliment I can give to a client.

Proud to say I said this to a client today.

They're in the zone.

The dog is progressing perfectly.

The owner is constantly aware of the dog's perspective in every moment.

What a fu***ng legend 💪💪💪

My clients are the absolute best.

And they sent me home with a sweetie bag 💪😂💪😂

Your happy voice and your cheese ain't cutting it.

Get control of your dog by whatever means necessary.

You'd have both been dead if a car had been coming.

But you're against prong collars and e collars.

Well, I'm against out of control dogs who risk everyone's safety.

Luckily, Taos is under control, or we'd have had an absolute fu***ng s**t show and large medical bills.

Inspirational quotes can be great and all that but honestly, some days I could just shove them where the sun doesn't shine.

There's days where s**t just gets heavy.

It's not because you're not trying.

It's not because you're failing.

It's not because you're not motivated.

It's just real life, and sometimes the world quite frankly takes the p**s.

You've got a million other things going on.

You don't have to earn the right to rest.

Just breathe.

Stick the kettle on.

Get on the couch with the dog.

Enjoy your brew and a cuddle.

That's enough of today.

No pep talks, no big ideas, no guilt.

We'll deal with tomorrow when it gets here.

Some dogs just don't get the memo.

Circumstances aren't ideal.

And we're p**sing in the wind for the first few sessions.

Thelma has just recently been rehomed.

And she's feral.

Absolutely fu***ng feral 😂

But she's the sweetest, most loving creature you could meet.

Until you get outdoors.

Her new owners are physically somewhat limited in their capabilities at the moment, making Thelma a health hazard on walks.

She's been dragging, lunging, screaming, barking, spinning, and basically stressed as f**k.

It's taken 4 sessions for her to realise I'm on the other end of the lead.

4 sessions to be able to take a reward.

Yes, 4 sessions!!!

I didn't even take the treat bag for session 2 and 3 😂

Not the type of results I'm used to 😂😂

But worth every heart racing, blood pumping, grey hair inducing moment.

Something clicked today.

So we asked Mum to come outdoors so Thelma could show off her progress.

To most people this is not remotely impressive.

To Thelma's mum, it was truly emotional.

Does this look like a standard "teach the dog to walk nice and not lose their s**t" session?

Nope!!

Is this anywhere near an end result??

Nope!!

But it's a start.

And that's where we begin.

Some dogs are sent to us to make us better trainers.

Thelma is one of these dogs.

Welcome to the team Thelma, we're all right behind you, and can't wait to see you succeed 💕💕💕💕
