Accommodation
All our cats are provided with indoor accommodation and a secure outside run they can reach through their own cat flap. During colder months (usually October to March but flexible according to weather conditions) all our cats are provided with an electrically heated bed. Please feel free to bring your cat’s own favourite blanket and/or bed if you prefer. You may also wish to bring s
ome of your pet's favourite toys to make them feel more at home. We do not cater for dogs as some cats become nervous at the sound of barking. Food
Our cats are usually fed twice a day with either Whiskas or Felix pouches (Kitten or Senior varieties where appropriate). These are mixed with Go-Cat or similar biscuits. Fresh water is available at all times. Certain other foods - such as Iams and Purina - can be supplied on request. If your cat has other dietary requirements, let us know in advance and we will do our best to cater for them. Special diets
If your cat is on a special diet for medical reasons please provide us with supplies to cover the length of stay. We are happy to reduce our rates in such cases by 80p per day. Medical Matters
Vaccination Certificates
All cats booked in to Orchard Cattery must be fully vaccinated. Please bring an up-to-date vaccination certificate with you as we will need to see it before accepting your cat as a guest. Insurance
Your cat is insured from the time of its arrival. This covers vet’s fees for conditions which first appear while your cat is boarded with us. Please note that this does not usually cover pre-existing conditions and you would be liable to pay for any additional treatment that may be required for these. Please contact us if you need any further information about this. We will always request a contact telephone number for someone we can refer to should any emergency arise. We use the Minster Veterinary Centre on Newark Road in Southwell for any emergency care required during a cat's stay. If your cat has any on-going medical condition please supply us with contact details for the vet you would usually deal with. Medication
If your cat needs to take prescribed medication we are happy to administer this. Please ensure it is clearly labelled with your cat’s name, the dosage and your vet’s contact details. We reserve the right to refuse to board any cat which in our opinion is in need of urgent medical attention on arrival.
