It’s so important when clipping sensitive areas such as the face you take your time. With it being such a small area to work on any sudden movements or being too quick can lead to injury to yourself and/or horse.

Luckily I had the perfect assistant to demonstrate on who’s had her face clipped many times🦄

Clipping when a horse/pony isn’t in full work⁉️

Even if your horse/pony isn’t in full high intensity work this doesn’t mean they don’t need clipping. Due to the constant drastic weather changes i’m noticing horses are struggling to manage their body temperatures at the moment.

This shetland has a thicker coat than normal due to his breed developing a double-layered coat for the extreme weather conditions in the Shetland Islands. This has caused him discomfort due to him being too hot!

Even though your horse/pony may look okay on top of their coat what lays underneath is not always the same.

Little man is feeling much better now his skin can breath and will be able to control his body temperature much better😊

‼️Important‼️ I won’t be taking any bookings for the first 2 weeks of July as I am going on holiday. Whooo☀️ If anyone needs any clipping booked in for June please message ASAP to avoid disappoint😁

Lovely morning catching up with a very good friend whilst clipping her little coblet💕 Stu had a high irish clip taking off the belly, neck, chest and half of his body to help him to control his body temperature. For his first clip he was a star and took it all in his stride!🦄
