So sorry for the lack of posts and updates. I had to have unexpected surgery at the end of October so I’ve been recovering whilst trying to juggle everything and looking after the little ones and the animals.
Unfortunately at the beginning of November we lost our beautiful Penny. This was a big blow as her and her sister Bernie were the very first guinea pigs I took in and who started the whole rescue and sanctuary. Things still don’t seem the same but luckily her sister is doing okay and has adapted to life without her. Winter is a very tough time for rescues and sanctuaries. We go through even more feed and bedding and even more enrichment as the pigs don’t go out into their outdoor area as it just isn’t suitable for them in the wet weather. I’m doing my absolute best to keep this going and still provide the best care for my beautiful sanctuary herd.
Although i haven’t been active on the page I’ve still been taking pictures and videos so I will upload some in the upcoming days to overload you all with some super cuteness.
We hope everyone and their piggies are doing well and are looking forward to the festive period 🐹🐾🎄

I can’t put into words how greatful I am for the response to my appeal the other day. Thankyou so much to everyone who has sent from the Amazon wishlist or sent donations via PayPal and bank transfer. It can be tough keeping this going as a lone parent and many times people have said I should think about giving it up - to me this will never be an option. These little fury potato’s mean the world to me and seeing them live happily together here in a herd warms my heart and it’s the best feeling knowing I’ve helped them and they’re living their best piggy lives.
I will continue to take in piggies where I can & if I can’t I will give you all the help, advice & support that’s needed.

Morning everyone! So sorry for being quiet. Things have been abit hectic in my personal life and I run this single handedly - I am really doing my best 🫶🏻 everyone is fine and I will be posting more pictures and updates over the following week! I’ve been having some trouble replying to messages so please don’t think I have been ignoring anyone. Here is some super morning cuteness, these boys were adopted out a few months back to some good friends and they are absolutely spoilt rotten. I have the pleasure of looking after them both when their owners go away, they are the sweetest boys 😍 I hope everyone & theyre piggies are well🫶🏻

Today I unfortunately had to say goodbye to little Honey. She was only here with us for 2 months but she sure made herself at home and had the most beautiful,loving character.
She went downhill very quickly and the vet confirmed it was pneumonia and bloat was starting to set in. The kindest thing was to say goodbye. 😢
It never gets easier, we love you little one🕊️🤍

This morning I had to make the decision to let Flower go peacefully. She became very poorly, very quickly and the vet confirmed she was in renal failure 😢
Even though it’s for the best and she’s no longer suffering, it’s never easy letting any of them go. She was such a big character within the herd and we will really miss her 💔❤️‍🩹

If you can help or support us in anyway I would really appreciate it. I am back to running this completely on my own. Whether you share our posts, donate or have anything we can make use of (news paper, puppy pads, spare veggies!) it would be a great help so I can try and keep the rescue and sanctuary up and running.

Hey everyone, although we’ve been quiet we are still very much here!
Trying to keep everyone cool during this weather and just keeping everyone happy & healthy. I’m running this single handedly and do my best to reply to all messages as soon as possible so please bare with me 🥰

I have a lot of plans in mind for the rescue & sanctuary which are very exciting. But I’m having to hold off as we may potentially be moving house at the end of the year or next year so I don’t want to make more things to have to take them down, move & rebuild! So I’m just holding out a little 🤞🏻

Smuggling the last treat whilst no one’s looking 👀

The girlies enjoying their hay cube they were kindly sent from the Amazon wishlist 🩷 I love them all dearly, unless you’re a piggy person I don’t think you will ever understand and appreciate how different each guinea pig is and how their little personalities and traits are so different. I love nothing more than sitting and watching them interact with eachother and expressing their lovely, happy, natural behaviours. Still finding it very difficult without little peanut in the herd. Time is a healer, miss you my little one💖

Bedtime snacks 😋 We have got to a stage where the sanctuary pigs supplies are pretty much non existent. Their treat draw is empty and I’ve opened the last bag of hay this evening. I will obviously be going to the shops to purchase more as they never go without, but if anyone can help by purchasing them some or donating towards their upkeep we would be so grateful🥺.
