I’ve designed tons of jobs for clients over the years, all of them more substantial and with much much bigger budgets than this but designing for yourself comes with its own unique pressures.
So I was nervous and excited in equal measure when this little package arrived from a printer I’d never heard of before never mind trusted.

New batch of flyers coming soon
Sorry if this is a long one but it’s been a really exciting week.
The mission for the week was to secure a fresh and regular supply of old tyres for our first proper batch of Flyers. First call to TeamSport race tracks ended in disappointment after learning they pay a company to remove them.
I did wonder whether my theory that there would be an inexhaustible supply was completely wrong then I spoke to Lee, admin of Camberley Kerting Club who advised I join his group and put up a request for used tyres, he was sure I’d get a positive response. Well that was an understatement! I have been inundated with offers of quantities from a dozen to Luton Van load, all free and many offering to deliver them too! It seems I’ve underestimated the scale of the issue of what to do with used karting tyres.
This morning I received my first new batch so thank you to Alec who brought to me all the way from Newbury!
There is obvious signs of wear on the treads but the walls, which I’m mainly interested in look like new!
A new set of four tyres can cost upwards of £200 and may not last a day on the track so that gives an indication of the scale of the situation and costs involved especially considering that the conventional method of disposal adds extra cost to the owning of a racing kart.
This pile will go under the knife in the next few days and with the freshness of these tyres they’re going to look and fly amazing.
We’re almost ready to open an online shop but we’ll also be sending out some for testing so let me know if you’re interested and trying one out
This is Dre, his owner, a friend of mine and he’s having some circumstantial problems and needs someone to take care of Dre for about three months while he sorts himself out.
They currently live in Egham near Windsor and Dre is a super happy, socialised and well trained dog.
