This beautiful @arenasaddles Cob GP was delivered earlier today just in time to be fitted to Beau tomorrow.
Beau is a 4 years old Connemara who is just starting his ridden career so it was important to owner Sue that he has a saddle which fits him and can be adjusted as he matures and progresses with his ridden work. Sue hasnโt ridden for many years so having a saddle which adjustability for her was also important which made the Arena saddle the perfect choice for them both ๐ด
Due to his age Beau is very slightly lacking muscle on one side causing saddles to slip over to his right so with the Easy Change Riser system that Arena saddles use we were able to stabilise the saddle even more to help Beau build muscle on his weaker side and then we can simply adjust and remove the risers when needed as he progresses in his ridden work.
What is even better is all these alterations can be done from the comfort of your own home in minutes when the weather is as wet as it is today ๐โ๏ธ keeping your saddle fitter and saddle dry and happy.

Spent yesterday at Myerscough College with @batessaddles & @saddlesdirect at a really interesting and informative training day. I already love fitting with Bates saddles but the training they provide really means as a saddle fitter we are always able to improve the fit for both horse and rider maximising horse and rider comfort and aiding performance.
The Victrix comes in a variety of different colours, perfect for any who loves a bit of matchy matchy ๐ the Aqua in the photo would fit very nicely in my tack room one day๐

๐ด Reflock a saddle with me ๐ด
People always ask why a full reflock takes so long, why canโt it be done at the fitting and what do we do when doing one so here is a quick video showing the steps to a full reflock. This is 3 hours of reflocking made into about 30 seconds.
This saddles was an Albion K2 Jump saddle fully reflocked with 100% Jacobs wool and then delivered back to the customer and fitted to the horse to make sure it is balanced when back on the horse. Once the new flocking has settled it will need a check and a top up on site in the next 6-8 weeks.

Cringy video time ๐ All my friends will know that I hate it when there is a camera around but Iโve faced my fear today and done a video just showing how I check any saddle before I take it in to sell and before it is sold or put on a horse as one of the questions I get asked the most is has this saddle been checked and is it safe to use. The answer is yes ๐
A few weeks ago I posted some photos of a saddle with some broken rivets, it was when testing the saddle like this that the creaking in the saddle was picked up and on closer inspection we found the cause.
Anyone who has had a fitting with me will also know that I always check any customers saddle like this also before putting it on the horse to make sure that I am fitting with a safe and sound saddle ๐ด

Successful trip out yesterday for some dressage practice with Charlie. Much more relaxed and worked really well for the whole lesson.

Enjoyed a Friday morning off and took Oscar on his first solo hack. Not the quiet Friday morning I was hoping for, in the first 10 minutes we met a lorry, fuel tanker, ambulance and a double decker bus. Oscar carried on like he had been hacking for years ๐ด
Also, featuring Charlie being mischievous in the pond and galloping round the field ๐

Really good night yesterday at the Horses Inside Out demo. Very interesting watching the muscles and bones moving with the horses static, lunging, over poles and jumping.

The snow/rain today meant a duvet day for Charlie & Oscar with some play time in the paddock and a leg stretch on the lunge this afternoon.
