‼️ Missing for over 2 months‼️
We currently have no further updates of Toby and Bruno’s whereabouts but wanted to make everyone aware of what has been done to bring them home:
From the very beginning all necessary authorities and agencies were contacted.
A Facebook group set up, posts
shared across social media platforms.
Regular updated posts and All found dogs sent were followed up and checked.
Local landowners, farmers and gamekeepers were contacted and are aware of Toby and Bruno.
We have offered a substantial reward for any information that leads us to finding Toby and Bruno, as due to the length of time they have been missing there is the possibility that they have been found and then kept, passed or sold on.
Ground searches have taken place with volunteers and areas regularly checked and scanned day and night with a long range thermal scope.
Drone to home came to help within the first 4 days of their disappearance and scanned the land surrounding mine using thermal drones.
A team of family, friends and volunteers have put up thousands of posters in the immediate area and through letter boxes. This was extended to other towns, villages and rural areas further afield.
The area was checked for cctv and ring doorbells so that footage could be checked.
We had reports in November of Toby eating roadkill in Lumley and Bruno walking up a path in Lumley thick’s. We started the search down that area but it came to nothing.
We asked Ella from lost dog tracking to come and help us and on the 7/11 she tracked both of them to Lumley where Bruno and Toby were seen within 1/2 mile of each other. We set up food traps and cameras in the area and Bruno was sighted again, but unfortunately bolted into local woodland didn’t show on any cameras.
Bruno was then seen in beamish woods on 11/11 by a dog walker. We had hoped they were making their way home but unfortunately there was a shoot that day which seemed to have pushed them out of beamish woods.
Toby was then seen in Tanfield Village on 26/11 and bolted into nearby woodland.
Ella from lost dog tracking came back up on 8/12 and we took her to Rowlands gill where someone had seen a German shepherd and doodle type dog running into nearby woodland. Two of Ella’s dogs picked the scent up in different locations in Rowlands- again we have set foot traps and cameras but nothing has been seen on camera
Just a note about the tracking dogs. Both dogs have trained at the London school of scent and Hetti has won awards for her tracking ability, and is sponsored by some high profile industry experts.
We were out with them the whole time they were tracking. I’ve observed when the dogs didn’t pick up a scent and when they did - even in areas with lots of dog walkers. Having seen this for my own eyes, I am confident that it was my dogs that were tracked. I may have thought differently if I hadn’t been out with them as I am aware some trackers don’t take owners out with them when they are working.
I have attached maps of the locations of the locations of these sightings and surrounding areas.
Can I ask that if you are out walking over the Christmas period in these areas to remain vigilant and keep a look out for my boys 💔💔 please contact me if you do see them with the time and location.
We need them home where they belong. Again, thank you all for your continued support and help to try and reunite my boys with us, we are honestly overwhelmed and can’t thank you all enough ❤️

‼️ Still Missing since 27th October from East Stanley ‼️
These two are still missing and it is almost 5 weeks. They headed towards twizzel and there hasn’t been any confirmed sightings since. 💔💔
Potential sightings include areas in and around:

Lumley Thicks
Castledene
Waldridge
Beamish
Tanfield

I’ve listened and followed the advice from the experts and we have done all we can to bring them home which hasn’t worked. 💔💔💔
We are now desperate, especially with the change in weather. They will be starving and cold which may push them out if they are looking for food.

Unfortunately the lures that we have put in place during last week haven’t brought anymore sightings this weekend as hoped 💔💔

Bit random but would anyone know where I would get two dead pheasants from please.
The lure of food and bitch scent doesn’t seem to be working and they’ve both been seen eating pheasants ( road kill).
The dog tracker I am working with has suggested we try this as lure but there isn’t a shoot in the local area until next Saturday. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated 🙏🙏🙏

THEY RAN OFF FROM HOME AT APPROXIMATELY 7:45am ON FRIDAY 27th OCTOBER ESCAPED FROM HER HOME IN EAST STANLEY COUNTY DURHAM
THERE HAS BEEN A NUMBER OF SIGHTINGS IF THEM BOTH BUT NOTHING RECENT
‼️IF YOU SEE THEM PLEASE DO NO APPROACH OR ATTEMPT TO CATCH THEM AS THEY ARE IN SURVIVAL MODE AND AVOIDING HUMAN CONTACT‼️ This will push them further away 💔💔

Unfortunately no more news, please continue to keep a look out when on walks or driving to work especially in the Lumley & Chester-le-Street area but also Waldridge and Waldridge Fell area incase they make their way back that way.

Please could you share this with farmers and farm workers you may know, they are stock broken and not a threat to livestock. They are not frightened of other animals as they have been brought up with horses, alpacas etc

‼️UPDATE 5th NOVEMBER (10:40am)‼️
‼️We Need Our Boys Home‼️
No further sightings since yesterday so we need to spread the word as much as possible. We are desperate for sightings, but please don’t shout or approach them, stick to bridal paths and walkways. If everyone can post and tag anyone they know in these areas of interest, the map shows the area we would like leaflets and posters handed out it includes:
Housing Estate next to Durham Cricket Club
Castle Dene
Great Lumley
Lumley Thick’s
Wood stone Village
Any farms/small holding in the area.
If anyone has a printer in these areas and would like us to send them the posters and the leaflets this would be greatly appreciated or we could meet up with you this afternoon to give you some. If you can help send us your email address via a message on the page and we will send them over or message the page to help.
We have contacted all the lost dog and drone services up and down the country and followed advice from many others but without sightings there is nothing they can do so we are just having to go it alone with your help till then, the boys will be so tired, hungry and scared 💔 we just don’t know hat else we can do.
Again thank you to each and everyone especially those that have gone above and beyond dispite being complete strangers. Thank you ❤️

‼️STILL MISSING - DAY 9‼️
The boys are still missing.
No further sighting since yesterday morning but we do think they are now in that Area so please just keep a look out. They will be tired and hungry and we are hoping they won’t venture to far now and we get a few more sightings if they are looking for food.
We are going to do more leaflets drops and will do another post shortly with the areas we need covering. If anyone has a printer we could send you the leaflets and posters to print a few in the areas we need covering. Please just keep sharing our posts all over facebook invite as many people as you can to like the page.

‼️STILL MISSING DAY 8‼️
The boys are still missing, today we are going to start putting a plan in place as we have people coming out the help us next week if they have not been found.
WE NEED EVERYONES HELP - If possible when out walking if you hear and see anything out of the normal such as dog barking or howling in the distance would it be possible for you to send us something called WHAT 3 WORDS, it will give you 3 words which relate to that location. You can do this from your phone and it lets us pin point your location. We can then chase this up and build a picture of where they may be.
If you have a smart watch, walking/running app could also maybe send us a screen shot of the map to show us the area covered this will help so that we can map where people are looking and saves us wasting time and looking in that area again.
We are going to map out some areas which we hope people may come and help us search tomorrow and Monday as the weather has to be good we post more info on this later tonight.
We just want to thank everyone who’s is helping and messaging we can’t thank you enough. So please keep sharing and inviting all your friends and family to like the page.

Possible sighting of Toby ( NOT CONFIRMED) in Langley Park - near diggerland. I have been and searched the area just in case and could not see anything. Can residents of Langley Park, Lanchester, Burnhope and surrounding areas share my missing posts on FB pages for those areas please?🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 i've spoken with the staff in Diggerland and they are also going to keep a look out for them both

UPDATE
I've just got off the phone with Ella from Lost dog tracking.co.uk. who has experience in tracking dogs that go missing. Ella has advised me to continue to get the leaflets out and keep the shares on the social media posts to raise awareness so people can keep a look out and hopefully we get a confirmed sighting of them.
Ella's professional view is that they are in the woodlands and have taken to ground and gone into survival mode. They could have travelled as far as 10 miles so any possible sighting I will need to follow up, although a confirmed sighting would be amazing!
Ella has asked that people don't search in areas that we wouldn't normally go and stick to footpaths and bridal ways - as we we could be chasing them further away. This does go against my natural instincts as I desperately want to keep searching to find my boys. But I will do all I can to get these two home so need to listen to professional advice.
In the meantime, can I ask everyone to please continue to keep a look out for them when you are out walking with your dogs. I will continue with the posters and leaflets drop in areas not yet covered and respond to every potential sighting that we may have.
As we know there is a storm for the next couple of days which I am beside myself with worry about - so we cant get the tracking dogs out until Tuesday if they haven't returned home by then.
I will continue to search until they are both found and home. Thanks to everyone for their kind words and support - we really are overwhelmed by everyone's support to help find my two fur babies.... THANKS SO MUCH and please keep looking ###
