Who says that pink is only for girls? 🩷

This colour looks great on Spike. This Ness drying coat is over 8 years old and used to belong to his sister Roxy who sadly is no longer with us. It is great to see her drying coat still going strong though.

I believe in making products that last, using quality fabrics, and constructing garments using strong seams that last the test of time. Slow fashion, not fast throwaway fashion, so that the coats can be used through generations.

I'm sure many of you will have seen similar posts from other businesses regarding the new GPSR rules that affect sales to the EU and Northern Ireland. Basically it's to do with product safety, and along with extra documentation there is a requirement that all businesses have a 'responsible person' in each country that they sell products to. There is obviously a cost involved in this and it is just too prohibitive for small businesses to take this on.

This new rule comes into effect on 13th December so unfortunately I will no longer be able to ship products to Northern Ireland after this date (I had already stopped selling to the EU due to Brexit).

So if you are in Northern Ireland and would like to purchase something before the new rule kicks in, please do so by the end of this week (1st December.)

And so it begins - snow is on the way for parts of Scotland this weekend ❄️

Who loves a stylish Christmas Jumper ?? 🎄🎅

Well here's my jumper design for this year. Made from a warm, quick drying red microfleece with fantastic white, red and green striped trim.

Available in standard and custom sizes with prices starting from £24, with a standard cocker size being £27 and a labrador coat just £34!

I have limited trim for these so once that runs out it's a wrap as they say ! 🎁

Due to an unexpected change in circumstances, you will be pleased to hear that I am taking custom orders again. This is for all coat styles, made to order where you choose your colour and size, and includes made to measure sizes too.

I'm starting off with a 2 week turnaround just now, but this will likely increase as the custom orders come in.

I love a good fitting drying coat - none of those oversized baggy drying coats here!

What you need is a nice snug fit on the body to absorb the water, then as the water it drawn out of your dog's fur, they warm up and their body heat helps the water to evaporate. Result !!! ... So what you don't have is a dog draped in a soggy towel, but you DO have a warm, dry and happy dog. 😊

It's the 12 year anniversary of saying goodbye to Freckles. 💔

Taken far too young from us due to lung cancer aged just 7 years old. We adopted her when she was 2, so had just 5 short years with her, but she was such a sweetheart and we loved every minute with her.

I made my very first drying coat for Freckles back in 2010, named the business after her, and her legacy and memory forever live on 🥰🐾

Fireworks season is approaching and so I have made double fleece snoods available to order on the website again.

The two layers of fleece help to muffle the sounds of fireworks and allow your dog to relax.

All snoods will be made to order and posted to you within 3 days.

I've been a bit quiet of late as I figured out my new working routine, with my time now split between sewing and working as P/T bookkeeper at a local brewery. I have closed my workshop in Stirling, so it took some time to bring everything into the house and organise it all but I am pretty much there now!

I am still busy sewing, just steadily moving away from custom orders to focus on ready made items for quick posting to you. So from next week you will start to see more ready made items appearing on the website. I'll try and mix up what I make but one week I may focus on drying coats, another waterproof coats, and another fleeces and softshells. I'm looking forward to the flexibility of choosing what to sew!

Just a reminder that I am currently closed to new orders to allow me time to catch up on all the orders I have taken at shows and on the website, and to try and make up more stock again.

For those waiting on orders please be patient, I am a little behind but hope to have them all made by the end of the month.

There are a few stock items available to purchase on the website just now, and once I have cleared the order backlog I'll be focusing on adding more ready made stock to the website in October.
