Our team are all battling to get to the practice this morning on foot, car and bus. We will be opening but it is likely that the first hour or two will be sparsely staffed and not all our team members will be able to get to work.

Did you know that every year as Santa makes his way around the world, vets are on standby to give care to the reindeer should they need it?

Teams of ELVES (Emergency Landing And Veterinary Expert System) are ready in every country and time zone to ensure the deliveries go smoothly and all presents arrive on time!

This morning the American Veterinary Medical Association (AMA) announced the reindeer have passed their pre-flight checks and are ready to go!

Unfortunately, we have had a long-haired female tortoiseshell cat brought in to us that has passed away. It was found on St John's Road opposite Warwick Street and had no microchip. Please let us know if you think this could be your cat.

Petplan Veterinary Practice of the Year 2019!

We offer friendly and personal pet care, along with modern, well equipped quality facilities. The Blue House team spoil our pets as you spoil your own, and see you as part of our practice, rather than as just another pet owner. Personal relationships and case continuity are important, and we will endeavour to ensure that you see the same vet at every consultation wherever possible. A different face every time you visit us is not how we like to work. We like to involve you in your pet's care, with full explanations of your pet's treatment plan. We believe that you should understand why we do what we do! Consultations are by appointment, ensuring that you get a full and proper explanation every time you visit us. Double-length appointments are allocated for all new clients and puppies/ kittens, allowing us get to know you (and your pet) properly. We handle our patients with care and compassion, and aim to never upset your pet. If your special pal enjoys coming to see us, the whole experience becomes more rewarding for you, for us, and for your animals. We like your dog to pull you into the surgery (though second thoughts once they enter the consulting room are not unheard of!) If your pet is particularly frightened of anything associated with a visit to the vets, please let us know in advance, so that we can address the issue. We welcome new clients, as well as familiar faces. If you are unsure whether or not you would like to come to us, feel free to call and have a chat. We would be delighted to show you around our facilities and explain how we work.
