I have spent a few years time at Vale wildlife hospital and as an Animal Technician at Hartpury College, so have gained a lot of experience with many animals - not just dogs! I have had a passion for all things animal my whole life, and have grown up with a consistent menagerie - from cats and dogs, rodents, reptiles and amphibians. Through working at a wildlife hospital, I am competent in working

with large animals and administering medication (veterinary permission required). My time as an animal technician has broadened my experience with a variety of animals including rodents, ferrets, arachnids, llamas, emus, wallabies and many many more - therefore I am used to a farm setting and able to care for pet farm animals as well as dogs & cats. I have achieved a Distinction* in Animal Management and have a diploma in Aquatic management. I am fully insured, enhanced DBS checked and have a full UK driving license. I am canine first aid trained. I am able to care for a variety of large and unique domestic animals other than dogs & cats. This includes but is not limited to;

Llamas & Alpacas
Goats and sheep
Birds (including birds of prey, poultry and emus)
Ferrets
Hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, chinchillas, degus, rats, mice and other rodents
Lizards, snakes, geckos, tortoises and other reptiles
Fish
Amphibians
Wallabies
Other exotic species such as Tenrecs and skunks

Our Story

Hey, I'm Rowan!

I run Gloucestershire pet services and house sitting. I was previously known as Rowan's dog walking, however took a couple of years out to gain more experience in the animal field. I have spent my time working at Vale wildlife hospital and as an Animal Technician, so have gained a lot of experience with many animals!

I have had a passion for all things animal my whole life, and have grown up with a consistent menagerie - from cats and dogs, to lizards, snakes and frogs.

Through working at a wildlife hospital, I am competent in working with large animals, administering medication and looking after very sick animals. My time as an animal technician has broadened my experience with a variety of animals including arachnids, llamas, emus, wallabies and many many more - therefore I am used to a farm setting and able to care for pet farm animals as well as your regular domestics.
