It’s been a quick turnover here at Walnut Tree Boarding.

Our boy Inches who more than often has day care here, had his first sleepover over. He was such a good boy! 🩵

Wren aka ‘princess’ Wren also returned to us for the day and was a good girl glued to my side again 🩷

The last several days brought a very sensitive guest. Lexi was the sweetest girl but i had to earn her trust. Overwhelming this girl would never work so slowly we built our friendship. she just is a super anxious girl and very attached to her mum. Luckily her mum was spot on with putting things in place like joining us on a few pack walks prior and having a settling in day before her stay. Obviously with the help of the pack it took the best part of a day but she then settled so well!! We even sneaked in a pub visit which she took in her stride with the help of the pack by her side. Great dog… hope to see you again soon Lexi 😘

Feeding info, prep and serving room 🧆

We have all your dogs paperwork in the office to hand hit do like to make a visual note in our boot room for our Guests.

It’s important to us the dogs food room is kept as clean as possible and dogs are fed seperate to each other what ever their temperment.

The ‘ginger’ brothers have left the building after their weeks stay 🥰 little bit more grown up than last year but still little diddy dots.
The boys did well with the pack and enjoyed our long walks. The minute I sat down they were curled up right by my side if not on my lap! These boys live for cuddles! Untill next time 😘

Please note apart from 2 pre planned meet & greets the Walnut Tree Residents will be taking a little holiday break of their own. We will not be available from 13th July to mon 29th July. If you wish to make a booking or have any enquiries we will return your messages on our return.

This gives our fur babies and staff a chance to re group and rest ready for the last busy stretch of the summer.

Morning we said ‘ see you later’ following a short visit from little Ted. I’ll be honest at times we didn’t even know Ted was with us he is so quiet, laid back and just settled in.
Miss Cassie and Ted struck up a mutual tiny dog companionship which was lovely to see as our miss Cassie doesn’t often give much time to guests 🙊

We said ‘see you later’ to our Lenny after his 8 day stay. This cheeky chap settled in no probs on his 2nd stay and was a buzzing with the others now he knows they are harmless.
Some lovely very early walks to beat the heat and lots of chilling. Till next time Lenny 😘

Here at Walnut Tree Boarding we have to be flexible with our routines. Animal welfare is our priority!!
In this gorgeous 🌞 our main walks start between 5-6 am then we following up in the evening with a short stretch. Doors are open, water is changed/topped up and fans in when needed. Flavoured ice treats are given to those that are able to have them.
Beds are empty and all are opting for the cooler wooden floor 🥰

2nd stay for this lovely leggy boy! I’d be lieing if I didn’t admit this boy cracks me up! Between his zoomies, sofa surfing and love for Gunner this boy has come on leaps and bounds. He was super settled this time round as long as I’m in his sight of course (who doesn’t like to be needed) , he is really showing his cheeky character and from a rescue boy it’s great to see the progress!! See you soon Comet ☄️

Another successful stay with our boy Shep aka Sheppie!
This boy is such a well grounded dog with all the qualities of a collie and that’s a credit to his owners. He made our job easy, slotting into the pack. He just loved our long walks and spending time watching the world go by in the garden.
Dare I say he only got the hot hose treatment once 👍🏽

When a little tiny bundle of energy, sass and cuteness comes for the day called Juno 🤗
Puppy cuddles are the best 🧡
Juno is booked in for a long holiday end of this summer so any time here to help her adjust is great. Juno is learning slowly to read the room… which one of the walnut tree residents wants to play and which one doesn’t. Every day is a school day for this tiny pup

Today brought the end of the big friendly giant Bodhi’s stay.
It took Bodhi a few days to settle, he wasn’t a fan of my kitchen floor so we put mats down to make him feel comfortable moving around. He is a quirky boy with the biggest heart and the more days that went by the more he found his place in the pack (under the girls but by Gunners side!)
He loved a dirty puddle therefore learnt to love the hot hose 🙊
Gunner and Bodhi paired so well together it was great to watch, we will miss Bodhi 😘

First little sleep over for young Lenny. Lenny is booked in with us again for a week and this was a great taster for him. He is not use to being around other dogs so sometimes his nerves get the better of him. Saying that as time went on he realised he was safe and that none of the dogs were interested. He loves a ball game, amazing off lead and is all about cuddles on the sofa so fitted in great!! Look forward to seeing you again Lenny 💙

First time stay for lady Tilly, it took a few hours for her to feel completely comfortable but then she soon made herself at home! She arrived in the pouring rain and left in the sunshine. Lovely walks and plenty of cuddles. Such a good girl, see you soon Tilly x

Today the lovely Crumble left us after a short stay. It was like she had been staying for years, she settled in so well. The weather was against us so we took the opportunity to do her favourite thing and go swimming seen as she was wet already and she loved it, she did make us chuckle alot!!! 🥰

Another visit bagged by our Elsie, she has had some good walks followed by regular hot hoses washes, lots of garden snoozes and plenty of tug and war with Gunner. I enjoy watching the dogs get more settled slotting back into the pack the more they come. Till next time girlie 😘

It’s super important to appreciate the Walnut Tree Boarding staff. During the holidays they help walk the dogs, clean ( the youngest loves a spray mob 🙄) and play with the younger dogs.
It can be exhausting especially with the wet weather… so regular breaks go a long way to help re charge 🛁

Dog paddling pool has been ordered… just need the weather to put it to use 🐕 💦

PLEASE - makesure your dogs are coming to us with updated tick treatment. The warm weather mixed with wet long grass in our rural parts are a nightmare!!

Another stay for the spaniel sisters 🥰 all be it this weather is lovely it’s really important to understand the impact on the dogs. Early morning walks and evening strolls for the fur babies under the care of walnut tree boarding!!

And she is off back home… lovely week with Miss Ruby aka Ruby Roo!!
Ruby was such a sweet tiny ball of fun. Lots of ground covered either side of the day avoiding the heat as she is a fit young girl.
What was special to see was at first Ruby really was not keen on Gunner having had a bad experience with a big dog before but watching their little friendship blossom over the days was super cute 🥰

Happy 1rst Birthday to our resident fur baby Gunner 🩵

School holidays are always super busy for us here at Walnut Tree Boarding. Luckily for us we have holiday staff to hand 🙊 plenty of updates of our guest stays to come over the next few weeks 🥰

Happy Easter All x (Not going to lie, if looks could kill 🙈)

NOT MY USUAL POST - Meet Mia… she is 4/5 year old Yorkshire terrier. Spayed, vaccinated etc. no health problems to owner’s knowledge. Mia through no fault of her own and certainly not in any rush is looking for a new family to call her own. Sadly her owner has passed away and she is currently with family so safe and well looked after. Mia has been staying at mine for a little holiday and she is super sweet. Lap dog for sure, child friendly and sociable with other dogs. She is not a fan of cats, suggest a cat free home would be best although with training she would come round. Ive enjoyed her company and although kept her on a lead really don’t think she would go far from the person she has built a close bond with. She loves her walks and toys (particularly tennis ball) If I could I would! If you know of anyone that would be interested tonight opening their home and heart for this sweet girl then let me know via messanger and I will hand you details to the family to deal directly with them.
