🌟 Welcome to LurcherSOS, Sally! 🌟

Sally is the latest arrival to LSOS, and is currently settling in so we will update you with more about her personality as she blossoms! What we know for sure though, is that Sally is an affectionate and gentle soul who loves spending time with people. She’s great on the lead and isn’t fazed by other dogs—she even shares the occasional friendly kiss! While she enjoys her outdoor time, she’s happiest when she’s with her humans. A truly gorgeous girl inside and out!

Hey everyone, it’s Chase here! 🐶 I’ve got some exciting news to share—I'm becoming a very brave boy!

For the first time since I arrived, I chose to sleep downstairs by myself! 🛋️ (Okay, I did change my mind halfway through the night and went back upstairs, but it’s the thought that counts, right?)

The other night, my humans went out for dinner and left me with my foster grandparents. I was a little unsure at first, but after a few whimpers, I snuggled up to my foster grandma and relaxed. 🥰

Oh, and the biggest news? I used to follow my foster mum everywhere, but now… sometimes I stay put! She’s gone upstairs, into the kitchen, even to the loo (scandalous!), and I’ve decided my comfy chair is way better than trailing behind her.

These might sound like little things, but for a dog like me, they’re HUGE! 🏆 Four months ago, I couldn’t bear to be alone. Now, I’m learning that being by myself isn’t so scary after all. That means my future is looking brighter every day. 🌟

Chase is feeling a bit glum, because he hasn't yet found his perfect forever home 😔

Chase is a 1.5-year-old cuddle-bug who adores people and is always up for a snuggle!
🏡 Currently in foster in Norfolk, Chase is:
✔️ Housetrained, neutered, and vaccinated
✔️ Playful and loves zoomies, squeaky toys & fetch
✔️ Learning leash manners & recall training
✔️ Best suited to a home with a doggy friend or humans around most of the day

Chase does have some separation anxiety, but with patience and love, he’s making great progress. His future family will be so lucky—he’ll return every bit of love tenfold!

🚨 New Arrival: Meet Atlas! 🚨

Atlas has just joined us, and he’s already showing what a lovely boy he is! 🐶💙

✅ Walks beautifully on the lead
✅ Unfazed by loud noises, kids, or other dogs
✅ Approaches for affection & takes treats gently
✅ Travels well in the car
✅ Enjoys kibble, raw food & the occasional duck wing treat 🍗
✅ Playful but happy to snooze after a good walk 💤

Atlas will need to put on a little weight, but with his love for food, that won’t be a problem. So far, he seems like a fantastic, easy-going young lurcher who will make someone very happy!

He’s still settling in, so we’re learning more about him every day! He’s not quite house-trained yet (oops, couch leg 🙈), but he’s a smart boy and picking things up quickly. We’ll be testing his recall in a secure field soon—stay tuned for updates!

Folks, we have a very special new arrival to share with you… please give a warm welcome to Lenny! 🥰

Here’s what we know about Lenny so far:
He is a stunning petite Lurcher with a gentle, low-energy temperament. He is incredibly affectionate and enjoys being kissed and cuddled, often nestling his face inside your coat for extra warmth. His soft, silky coat adds to his charm. He takes treats gently and walks beautifully on a lead. While he remains calm, he gets excited when he sees his lead, bouncing with enthusiasm at the prospect of a walk. Despite a few minor cuts and grazes, he is in good health. He has good recall and prefers to stay close to his handler. He would thrive in a loving home where he can be wrapped in a cosy blanket. He has shown no aggression towards people or other dogs. in fact, he shows no interest at all and his more interested in the prospect of going out.

How perfect does this little lad sound?! We will update you with more info as he settles into his foster home ❤️

NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS FOR LENNY PLEASE........until he is assessed in a foster home we cannot tell what sort of a home will suit Lenny best.

Hello friends, Chase here! I’ve had quite the busy month, so I thought I’d share with you some highlights:
🤸I’ve been learning so many tricks! If I sit down, or lie down on my bed, foster mum and dad give me treats! I am so good at it now, sometimes I do it without being asked, which makes foster mum and dad very proud indeed! I’m also SO much better on walks. I stay in a heel nicely, and like to say hello to other dogs!

☕️As my foster mum and dad are ‘Gen Z’, they spend a lot of time in coffee shops and cafes - so I have learned to be a very good boy (as long as I have something soft to sit on, I am a bony boy after all. Foster mum even put her scarf on the floor for me once!) I am SO well behaved, everyone says I am very handsome and calm.

🍗 It turns out I have a sensitive tummy so the food I was on was causing me some problems. Lovely Laurie bought me some raw food and now my foster parents say it’s like I’ve had a personality transplant! I am so much more settled, and apparently I am so much better behaved - who’d have thought it!

That’s it for this month! As much as I love being here with these two people, I’d really like to to find my forever home. Could you offer me a forever sofa or lap to cuddle up on? You may remember Sebastian, the brave Cypriot greyhound who was found with what we believe to be chemical burns all over his body. His condition was heartbreaking—but today, we bring you a story of hope, resilience, and joy. ❤

Thanks to the amazing care he’s received in Cyprus from Stronger Together Animal Rescue (STAR), Seb is now healthy, happy, and covered in soft new fur! 🤗 His recent bloodwork came back clear, meaning he can now start his vaccination program and prepare for his journey to Lurcher SOS. Because he has Leishmaniasis, he’ll need a special diet to prevent kidney crystals, but otherwise, he’s thriving and ready for a loving home. Watch Seb now—running, playing, and living his best life! What an incredible transformation! 🐾✨
