As we are now in our first cold snap of winter, here is a guide for what is considered unsafe temperatures for walking, depending on breed, size and elderly dogs.

Although the crispy ground is great (no mud!) it may be a case as winter goes on that some morning temps, if in the minuses, will be deemed too cold to walk and possibly moved to later in the day if it warms up slightly. We will never put your pets at risk and I will liase with clients if changes need to be made to times and durations, or the option of switching to home/garden visits.

Please leave jumpers and coats for keeping warm, and a towel or two by the doorway for drying and muddy paws. Dogs will be cleaned and dried to best of ability so please advise if you need your dog to be placed in a separate area such as hall, kitchen, to dry off fully whilst having a post walk snooze 😴

Delays may also be expected due to cleaning and road conditions. If roads are deemed too unsafe due to snow and ice, group outings will be cancelled and put to solo instead.

Winter is coming updates 🐾🐾

The cold mornings are arriving 🥶 and we're hoping for frost to keep the mud at bay! However, we have to prepare for it and this will make for some very mucky pups, more so on group walks of course!

Warm water tanks/washers will be carried in the van along with a huge stack of towels. Please could clients also leave a couple of your own by the door.

Dogs will be washed and dried to best of our ability but please bear in mind, other dogs may still be in the van awaiting drop off, so time is limited and the vehicle cannot be left unattended for more than a minute or two. Washing and drying will be by the van or on the doorstep.

In worse case scenario's (and there will be some, a 💩 mucky pup is a happy pup 💩 no particular names mentioned! 🙄🤣) I am able to bring dogs back to my driveway for a full shower if necessary (hot and cold taps fitted). Delays are to be expected for these situations so please take this into consideration as your dog may be out longer than usual, depending on drop off route, and following walks may be a bit later.

Please also let me know if you would like your dog to be contained in a particular area of the house, ie. kitchen, hallway, conservatory, on return, to dry off fully whilst sleeping 😴

Clean ups of muddy paws will also apply to solo walkers and we wear boot covers upon entering your home so mud is not trod in.

As I also supply towels to my helpers, and my washer and dryer runs constant through winter 😐 I'm on the old towel prowl again! If my local friends and clients have any spare, please throw them my way - I can never have too many towels! 😆

We have availability for group walks 🐩🐕‍🦺🦮🐕 and solo walking 🐾🐾

Group walks: does your dog enjoy interaction with other dogs but no friends to go out with? Come and join the fun! 😍

We keep our groups to 3 to 5 dogs for safety reasons, if a 4th/5th is on board so is an extra walker! The vehicle is fitted with custom crates to keep the dogs safe and separated in transportation and we are never far away for in the case of an emergency situation - safety is our priority. New dogs go through a careful introduction process to ensure they are happy with each of their new friends and any that are not a suitable match (which is rare) will not be placed together again. Dogs will be kept on lead/line if that is your request.

Your dog will enjoy the fun factor stimulation and exercise and likely be fast asleep until you return home! Dogs will be cleaned to best of our ability (winter mud is coming!) and update and photographs will follow showing the fun they have had.

Solo walks: We understand some dogs are not so sociable so we provide for them too. Walks will be block and to the nearest park/open space and instructions followed for on lead and avoidance of other dogs if that is your request. Meet ups with other solo walkers can be arranged if you would like assistance with socialisation for your dog.

Home visits: Available for puppies and elderly dogs, for toilet breaks, play and cuddles.

Pet taxi: Transportation service for vets appointments if you are not able to take them yourself (dogs, cats and other small furbabies).

We are fully insured and regularly DBS checked and as a team of 5 we will always have you covered!
