⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A glowing review from Oakley’s owner - "The reasonable pricing and outstanding care have far exceeded my expectations compared to the local veterinary services with my previous practise which Oakley was registered with. I will continue to promote your practise to my friends who have fur-babies of their own and reassure them that the commute is well worth it. "

Thank you for trusting us with Oakley’s care and for recommending us to fellow pet parents—it means the world! 🐾🐶🐱

If you're looking for a vet that goes the extra mile, we’d love to welcome you and your fur-babies. 🏥💙

Meet Jessie, the mischievous cat who decided metallic ribbon from a Christmas hamper looked delicious! 😼✨ Luckily, her sharp-eyed mum caught her in the act and brought her straight to us as an emergency.

Thanks to mum’s quick thinking, we were able to help Jessie safely bring the ribbon back up. 🎁💨 If it had been left, it could have caused problems – linear foreign bodies can lead to blockages and perhaps the need for emergency surgery.

🎅 Holiday Tip: Keep an eye on curious cats and make sure items like ribbon, tinsel, and string are out of paw’s reach – they’re far better as decorations than snacks!

Great job, Jessie’s mum – and we’re happy to report that Jessie is back to her usual antics, ribbon-free! 🐾❤️

We've posted a picture of the ribbon in the comments, just in case you dont want to see what Jessie ate!

🎄🐾 Keep Christmas Safe for Your Pets! 🐾🎄

We all love indulging during the festive season, but did you know many of our favourite Christmas treats can be dangerous – for pets? Here’s a quick guide to what to keep well out of reach:

🍫 Chocolate – Toxic to dogs in any amount and can cause serious illness.
🥧 Christmas pudding & mince pies – Packed with raisins, sultanas, and currants, which can lead to severe kidney failure.
🧅 Onions, garlic, leeks, shallots & chives – Found in gravy and other dishes, these are poisonous to dogs, whether raw or cooked.
🍷 Alcohol – Even small amounts can harm dogs, so keep your drinks safely out of reach.
🌰 Macadamia nuts – Can cause weakness, tremors, and other worrying symptoms.
🍽️ Leftovers – Hidden ingredients and mould can pose serious risks. Avoid sharing your plate!
🍬 Sweets (especially with xylitol) – Xylitol, a sugar-free sweetener, is extremely toxic to dogs.

💡 Tip: If your pet gets hold of any of these, consult a vet right away. Acting quickly can make all the difference.

Let’s make this Christmas merry, bright, and safe for every member of the family – furry ones included! 🐶❤️
