Bit of Wednesday fun..
We are getting a few fledglings brought into the practice. As tempting as it is to bring them in, if they are uninjured it is safer to leave them where they are (in a box up high if possible) as the parents will be close by. Please see the link below for more information.

Our last but by no means least member of the nursing team is Ellie.
Ellie joined the practice last year as an animal care assistant.
Ellie has now started her training to be a Qualified Nurse. She is in her first year . Ellie spends four days a week with us learning the practical side of the job and one day a week at University learning all the theory.
Please note we will be shut today between 1-2pm for staff training. Please do not come out practice at this time. In an emergency please call us on 01793881919. Thankyou
Our fifth member of the team is Chloe.
She is currently studying Veterinary Nursing at Hartpury University and on her placement year working at Shaw Vets at the moment.
This job is something i’ve always wanted to do since I was younger and i’ve always loved taking care of animals. I love how rewarding this job is and love making special bonds with all the animals and getting to know all the clients. I can’t wait to fully qualify as a veterinary nurse and continue working my dream job.
Do you own a bird, reptile or small furry pet? You will be pleased to know that one of our vets Becca is undertaking her certificate in exotic species - this means she will be working hard to gain even more knowledge in these animals. She is always happy to see them in clinic!
The fourth member of our team is Hattie .
Hattie joined the team as an RVN in 2021 after moving to Swindon from Somerset.
Hattie enjoys all aspects of nursing and takes special interest in the new generation by working closely with the schools to encourage work experience in the practice.
In her space time she enjoys reading , countryside walks and pole dancing.
You won’t have seen Hattie since the being of the year as she has been in maternity leave with her new little girl.
Meet our third Nurse in the team .
Pauline joined the team in 2017.

Outside of work Pauline enjoys country life as she grew up on a Dairy Farm with a mixture of animals including horses.
In her space time she lives to go camping, hiking and travelling. She is currently on her travels to Peru.
Dental X-rays are an important part of monitoring our pet’s teeth. This is something we can offer within the practice during our routine dental treatments.
Our next team member is Jade . She joined the practice in 2021 as a qualified nurse.
Jade has completed an Animal Behaviour Diploma since joining the practice.
Jade as well as being a Nurse, also holds regular Behaviour Consults in the practice. Please feel free to get in contact with us regarding this service.
In Jade’s spare time she is busy with her own pets. Sidney the Boxer keeps her busy with a variety of training.
Jade also has Guinea pigs , cats and tortoise’s to keep her busy.
