We’re doing a Woofers meet up! This will be on 1st September 12pm-3pm. If you’d like to join us for a play and a swim for the doggos and a chance to meet our other owners please let us know. It will be held in an enclosed fenced dog park with a big lake! If you’re interested please message us or talk to us on drop off and we can give you the full details! 💛

Let’s talk dental health 🦷

As humans we brush our teeth twice a day (we hope👀) and take great care looking after our teeth, but did you know🤔that your dogs dental health is just as important!

But dogs can’t brush their own teeth can they!? The answer is sadly no, but you can give your dog treats to help break down the tartar build up.

Hard veggie 🥕chews are a great one! Low in fat and all natural- these treats are a lovely hard chew that will help with the tartar build up, massage their gums and aid in increasing blood🩸flow to the gums! Who knew munching on a delicious treat would keep their mouths in a good and healthy condition! 😎

Other treats that can help with dental health are, pigs ears 🐷, chicken 🐔 or duck 🦆 necks, yak chew 🧀, antlers 🫎, pretty much any long lasting natural treat! 🦴

A long lasting treat is also great enrichment for your dog! It’s been said that it can reduce anxiety and stress and can help with boredom 🥱!

We know there are some brands who sell treats that are supposed to ‘aid in dental health’ 😒 but always check the ingredients on your treats. Some are packed full of rubbish! 😳 They have vegetable or animal derivatives (who knows what’s in them!?). The lack of information is crazy 🤯

We would always say natural is king 👑. You know exactly what you’re getting and no hidden nasties👿!

Always remember to supervise your dog with any treat! And make sure water is always available 💦

Devoted Doggy Day Care Centre In Tadcaster

Doggy Day Care Tadcaster | Situated in the North Yorkshire market town of Tadcaster, River Dogs is a day care provision for your beloved dog on the bank of the River Wharfe and next to the town’s historic bridge.

An alternative to the traditional dog walker, we offer a full day experience for your dog in two open plan indoor spaces and an outdoor area. We Include a beautiful riverside walk along with lots of play, events and interaction with a host of doggy friends.

Our opening times are 7.30am-6pm, but we can work around your work requirements with a pick up and drop off service with your dog transported safely in our bespoke and fully fitted dog van.

Tadcaster is handily situated off the A64 and whether your commute sees you travelling between York and Leeds or you live in any of the surrounding towns or villages we would love to hear from you, and more importantly meet your dog.
