Following the announcement that XL bully type dogs will be banned from 31st December 2023, the Dog Control Coalition are deeply concerned about the UK government’s plans.

The clock is already ticking and we believe that the proposed transition period does not provide enough time for XL bully type owners to prepare and comply with new regulations.

Blue Cross UK are urging the UK Government to consider the impact that this ban is going to have on worried pet owners, animal welfare charities and the veterinary sector.

🛡The procedure involves removing the uterus and ovaries via a small incision in the abdomen.
🛡Females are sterile as soon as they have been spayed.
🛡If you have a mixed pair of rabbits keep them separate for 6 weeks, to allow your rabbit to recover and heal, they should still be able to see and smell each other.
🛡Spaying can take place when the rabbit is around 12-16 weeks old. The procedure for a rabbit over 9 months can be more challenging due to the amount of fat that surrounds the uterus.
