Good morning! It is a lovely sunny morning here in the South Shropshire Hills - why not pop over and grab a bargain at our biggest car boot sale to date! 🚗☀️

We will be on site shortly to welcome our car booters, and we open to the public from 9am!

We're offering a free hot or cold drink to all walkers from our neighbouring towns (great day for it!) and a complimentary raffle ticket as well ☺️

We will be joined by our friends at Cuan Wildlife Rescue as well!

What to expect today:

☀️Our arena offers complete shelter from the sun, but it will be warm, so please dress appropriately
☀️Chilled bottled water and ice creams are available to buy on site, but water will also be available for free all day from our kitchen as well
☀️We are running a fantastic raffle and tombola all weekend - hosted by our fantastic volunteers, and the winner will be announced here on Facebook tomorrow at 5pm.
☀️Parking is free and there are toilets on site as well

📍Assistance dogs ONLY on site today please
📍We are still running lessons, so we ask that you drive with extreme care when on site
📍The Wenlock Olympian Society Heritage Race is taking place today and runners will pass our entrance between 11 and 11.30 (we are looking forward to cheering them on!)

Cuckoo is on her way to the emergency vets 💔

💙💖 Our older kittens 💙💖

These guys have been with us since the beginning of October and have grown up in rescue.

They were so small and scared, one litter was found with mom living in a bush outside a take away and the other litter mom wondered into a strangers home through an old cat flap with her babies.

They are still shy with people they don’t know but have come in leaps and bounds in their foster home. They adore being fussed and running around playing. They need a home where someone understands they may be shy at first, but will trust that they’ll get to being such loving cats once they’re settled in a new home.

They need to be homed in pairs or with a confident resident cat for them to play with. They will be 1 year old next month. Hopefully they can have a first birthday in a new home and not in rescue. Please fill in our adoption form to adopt these beautiful kitties 💙💖

🐾50p Friday🐾

It’s Friday and very very hot 🔥

This week we reopened our doors to take in some poorly cats who we are keeping a close eye on. Cuckoo kitten and her adoptive mumma and 4 adoptive siblings.
They are all back to the vets today as their congestion is causing a few issues for one of the younger babies who doesn’t seem to be feeding as well as we would hope. He’s 100g lighter than his siblings and so foster mum, Helen, has been feeding him alongside keeping him with Mum.
Cuckoo also has some loose poo that covered her yesterday so would like her to be seen.
We will update on them later as we are absolutely desperate to get this little family feeling much better.

Adoptions continue to be low but we have had 4 cats reserved this week which is wonderful and we are so happy for them.

We also said goodbye to a cat last weekend who we named Joy, she was the heavily matted cat who was being eaten by flies and maggots. Even though we couldn’t save her and had to help to end her suffering, we are still left with her bill for the emergency vets and her euthanasia.

We are so grateful for all of the donations of food, help with driving, kind messages and support we are given. We will keep helping as long as we can and as much as we can - which we do because of the support.

If we have ever helped you with anything, please consider donating 50p or whatever you can afford so that we can continue helping, as help for the amount of cats there are is definitely needed.

‼️ Emergency intake

Yes, we were meant to be closed and we did manage to say no for a while and source rescue spaces for other urgent cases but it was just impossible as other cats in need had no where to go. If we can make it happen, we will try our very best.

These babies came in today after we were contacted for support as they have cat flu. This sort of space needs to be an isolation space of which we had one place available for this little family.

They were found in a shed after people had moved out of the property. There was mumma and 4 x one week old kittens and…. a Cuckoo kitten, a tabby girl who is underweight and full of flu and not part of the mumma’s litter as she is about 2/3 weeks older than the others. Who knows where her family are or how she ended up with them but she’s being fed by this mumma and is part of the family now.

Thanks for 50p Friday we raised a good chunk of our vet bill but it’s left us almost empty of funds in order to get food.
We haven’t asked for food for a while and normally we are blown away by generosity when we do ask.
This little family need the best food and cuckoo kitten has started showing some interest in food so we would love to get her some royal canin mousse for those extra calories.
We are also low on our adult food of which we use gourmet perle, whiskers adult and Sheba mostly with the purina biscuits for adult and kitten.

The food we need most is:
- Whiskers kitten
- Royal canin kitten biscuits
- Pink kitten purina biscuits
- Gourmet perle adult
- Woodchip litter always needed

All of the items on our list are needed though so please help if you can

‼️ Foster needed with a view to adopt hopefully if wanted

This boy has been advertised in the shawbirch area
He is neutered but not chipped
A kind person has taken him in but he is nervous and does not get on with the resident cat.

He needs a vet check and a dematt so is not ready for a home straight away.

Home with no other cats or ability to work on mixing with long period of integration
