It’s Friday and the day was ask for help from our amazing followers.
Fridays are the biggest help as they keep us going and being able to do what we do.

Our focus remains on supporting the cats we currently have in care as we don’t have funds to help other poorly ones at the moment. We continue to get multiple messages every day asking for help, especially with stray males.

We have 5 nursing mums and kittens who will be eating soon. We have had some food donated which we appreciate, thank you but we have had to buy lots too as we didn’t have enough. We spent £200 on food just last week.

We have two neuterings in next week also which will cost us £220 and all our females will need neutering when their kittens are old enough.

Every penny really helps and lots of people have donated for vinted this week too which is greatly appreciated, thank you.

💜 Kanga and Roo are ready for adoption! 💜

Kanga and Roo are a beautiful longhair mother and son pair who came to us nearly 2 months ago after we were asked to help by a member of the public who had been feeding them as strays. Roo was only 7-8 weeks old at the time! 😢

Not very used to people initially, Kanga is gaining confidence every day and is well on her way to being a pampered pet! She does enjoy fuss and will come to you when she wants it, but it does have to be on her own terms. We do think she would like to have access to outside again eventually, but this would have to be after an extended period of indoor-only life, to make sure she doesn't wander.

Roo is the friendliest, soppiest kitten you will ever meet! He loves people very much and will sit on you for ages having a cuddle. Just like any other kitten, he also loves to play and explore! He needs to be adopted into a home with another young cat to play with - this can be a cat you have already or we can pair him with one of our other single kittens.

Both cats are good with young children, other cats and cat-friendly dogs. They do not have to be adopted out together, in fact we think they would thrive in separate environments.

Please note that due to his white colouring and especially his white ears, we are looking for an indoor-only home for Roo, as white cats are at an increased risk of sunburn and skin cancer.

Today we said goodbye to Ruby.💔

Ruby has been in long term foster for a few years after she came in from a multi-cat household after her owner passed away.
She had some ear problems, had to have some surgeries and has had a few blips along the way but has been happy in her foster home.

Thanks to Lisa and her family, Ruby knew love her in her last years.

Today Ruby started bleeding and lost control of her back legs. The vets found out that she had a blood clot and the kindest thing we could do was to end her suffering.

This is Gizmo, who is looking for his forever home!

Gizmo was initially being fed as a stray by a member of the public, but after a few months, Gizmo started getting attacked by other un-neutered males (kitten season has started early this year because it’s so
warm) and then he came back to his feeder’s home covered in oil/a similar toxic substance. She washed it off, but he came back again covered in the same substance twice more so we think some nasty person was covering him on purpose! 😢

We took him in, neutered him, flea/wormed him and obviously he’s had a good bath or two! His longhair is a little choppy right now as some of the sticky oil patches had to be cut out of his fur, but it’ll grow back quickly and he’ll be even more beautiful than he is now! He is been checked by our vet and they said he is healthy and around 2-4 years old.

Gizmo is a lovely boy, he loves his foster mum and loves fuss, especially a head scratch! He is also starting to be playful as he relaxes into the pampered pet life!

Gizmo would be fine as the only cat in the home but he has shown friendly interest in his foster mum’s other cats so we think he would be fine with other friendly cats if given a gradual introduction.

‼️ KITTENS

Newborn kittens need their mum. It is their best chance.

In the same area, last year and now again today, we have been called out to kittens who are too young to leave their mum.
In both circumstances they had been handed out to children like toys.

If you find kittens, especially newborns, or you have newborn kittens and need support, please reach out to us.
They should NOT be moved immediately, unless in direct danger. DO NOT try and feed them. They require specialist milk and care. It’s not like feeding a baby and you could end up killing them.

The kittens found today were handed around and separated/dumped. This is not good for them and their poor mum where ever she is.

No one knows where their mum is and now they have been disturbed, the chance of mum being reunited with them is more slim.
They are now being hand reared by another rescue. Thank you to them.

If you have a mum cat that needs help or you are unsure about kittens or a situation, don’t hand them around your local area.
Give them the best chance and reach out to a rescue or your local vet who can advise you.

If anyone knows anything about these kittens, we are not here to judge and if you need help, please reach out.

Still waiting 💔😢

Porridge had such a tough start to life and she has done so well with us becoming socialised, she deserves a loving home so much!

If you want a kitten-sized cat that will never grow up, Porridge is for you! If you want a sweet girl who will love your cats, play with them and fall asleep next to them, Porridge is for you! If you have a calm home and patience to let her come out of her shell, you are for Porridge! 😆

Gorgeous Dobby 🐾💖

Maggie has found a home with a previous adopter and she left this morning 💖💖💖💖

💔No one came forward for this darling, sweet girl. She had been living in a factory yard for a few months.

She was chipped so we thought we had been able to reunite her. But sadly that didn’t happen.
We left a note at the household with no response and have been told by a third party that the cats were rehomed through a national rescue a while ago but they would have changed the chip so we are unsure.

Anyway, none of that matters now. What matters is that she is safe and she’s had a vet check and is a healthy girl around 9. She’s amazing with other cats and we have named her Maggie because this is a fresh start of her.

She loves fuss and is so gentle.

If anyone would be interested in giving this girl a home, she’s neutered, chipped and will be fully vaccinated.

She’s amazing with children and other cats💖

The boys no one wants💔

Their mumma, Domino, was found living in a bush looking after 8 week old kittens and fending for herself.
She found a home but 8 months later her boys are still here.

They let their foster mum touch them, they are so friendly with other cats and are just adorable. They just need a little patience at first.

They’ve watched many others leave before them and they don’t understand when it will be their turn.

Let’s find homes for Berlioz, Flash and Scarface.

All neutered and chipped. Will start vaccinations before leaving us.
