💔How are Lacey and Scooter STILL looking for a home?

These babies have been in rescue since they were kittens and they are now 6-7 months old.

That’s 5 MONTHS of waiting.

They are neutered, chipped and fully vaccinated so ready to leave us.

Lacey, female, short haired girly is very cuddly, confident and sweet.
Scooter is a long haired male and is more reserved until he gets to know you then he is a cuddly and confident boy.

They would ideally like to together but we will take applications for separate homes if there is another friendly cat in the home.

Don’t leave them waiting any longer 💔💔💔

Application, home check and adoption fee apply🐾

THANK YOU SO MUCH
There has been some really kind donations and we appreciate everything - no matter how small, it all matters.
So far we have raised £700 for 50p Friday.

We have a poo sample to do for Pluto as we have gone in this morning and his pen is covered in diarrhoea 💔💔 we are going to buy him some fresh chicken to cook and he is on digestive food.

It would be amazing if anyone else can donate towards this and last week’s bill of 1.5k at the vets.

Thank you everyone 🐾❤️

Pickles update 🐾

Pickles won the hearts of everyone when she arrived. An older girl who vets were concerned about.
She had bloods which were fine and vets noticed a heart murmur.
She had her scan today and has a condition that causes her heart muscles to get thicker but currently this is not causing any issues for her.

She can now have her dental procedure with assurance that she should be fine under anaesthetic.

Here she when she arrived back at her foster home looking abit fed up.

We will now need to book in her dental procedure and then consider finding her a retirement home where she can have all the love and attention she deserves. 🐾

Her heart scan was around £200 on top of the massive bill we spent last week so any help towards it with our 50p Friday post would be massively appreciated. We still have her dental to pay for too.

Thanks everyone 🐾

Thanks so much everyone 🐾❤️Please keep going if you can. We are really struggling at the moment.

🐈‍⬛50p Friday 🐾

We REALLY need you and this wouldn’t post this morning for some reason 💔

Behind the scenes it’s been a pretty chaotic week.
We have 11 cats who we have with us long term and cover their vet care.

Two of them have required vet care this week.
Billy Ginger has been with us for 3 years. He has cat asthma, dry skin, gets ear issues, had an eye removed last year due to a tumour and likes to surprise us with other random things like this week - a urine infection.
He cost us £300 as he spent a day in hospital and has been given various medication. Thankfully he’s on the up.

Ruby, one of our other long term cats came in with Jerry (gorgeous fluffy boy posted last week). They came in almost 3 years ago with 4 other cats when their owner was taken ill and sadly passed away.
She initially had ear issues which are sorted but last week, she had an infected paw and was sniffly so she had a vet trip too.

We took the black male to the vets who we posted last week. He has been sleeping outside after his owners left him. He was chipped but no response from details.
He was unneutered an has a retained testicle, he needs a dental and he has watery poo. He will need two surgeries to deal with these issues, estimated at around £500-£600 for both.
Pluto, as we have called him, is also underweight and is genuinely concerning us. We may need to do further tests in the next day or two if his condition doesn’t improve as he is also being very picky with food.

Then there is Theo. He came in after his owner wanted to put him to sleep due to his continual loose poo but we took him on so he had a chance. Since then we have ran bloods, tried various meds, scanned him and done a food trial. None of it has worked or yielded an answer so we have now opted for a very comprehensive poo sample which was £288. This is our last chance to figure out what could be causing this. He is an absolute sweetheart.

That’s just a few cats. Never mind all the spays, check ups and medications we need. Our bill at one vet we use was £1500 in just one week and we have two other vets we use.

We will never put to sleep a cat who could live a longer happy life. We put them in foster homes where they all live like their resident brothers and sisters but their vet care still needs paying. Most of these cats require regular tests, medication and specialist food.

People continue to be confused when we say we can’t help anymore cats at the moment. But Billy and Ruby are an example of why taking cats isn’t as easy as it seems. Any cat we take could be sick with something we don’t know about and that has to be considered to protect the cats we currently have in our care.

Until we can get these vet bills paid, we cannot take in anymore cats sadly. We have 3 due in this weekend who we won’t let down as they’ve been on our waiting list and then we will have to say no until we are in a better position.

If you can donate just 50p or whatever you can for Billy, Ruby and Pluto this week.

As always everyone, it’s power in numbers when donating so please help if you can.

If not, enjoy the wonderful array of pictures of our cats and kittens.

‼️‼️ URGENT HOMES needed for 3 cats.

This would be a direct home and we would be doing a home check to ensure a good home.

Their owner is in hospital and there is no family member to support. They really need help.

We don’t have space sadly and although it seems simple that we can just take in cats, our long term cats cost us £1000 last week and we have to consider the welfare of the cats we have in our current care.

Can be split if needed but ideally mother and son stay together and the third one can be separated.
Friendly with other cats.

They are aged 11. No known health issues but would advise any new owner to do this.

Please message if you can help and for more info.

💙Thomas needs a foster home.💙

This is Thomas who was a street boy for a long time, unneutered, unchipped and had eye infections and ear issues.

He is around 10 years old and so really deserves a home environment now to continue his journey.

His kind feeder asked for our help and he’s doing so well now. He had a CT scan because his nose gets runny sometimes and we wanted to check if there was anything internal going on but after this and other tests, it’s just old damage from when he had infections.

He’s had the all clear to leave isolation and we would like him in a foster home for a while before he goes up for adoption.

He may be shy at first but then he will reward you with love. He loves his foster mummy now.

As a Fosterer, you will be provided with everything you need such as food, litter and equipment and all you need to give Thomas is love.

We are unsure if he is friendly with other cats and until he is fully vaccinated, he would not be able to mix with others but this can be discussed if he is going to be a longer term foster in your home.

If you think you could give Thomas a loving space and some extra TLC, please get in touch for a chat.
