We have had a recent influx in applications (which is great) so please bare with us.
We have received around 10 applications for Roger so cannot home check every person. Sorry if you are not successful. However we have plenty of other cats in need.

We have the cat show live this weekend so are quite busy with that which has also delayed going through all applications.

We will endeavour to contact everyone next week.

It’s Friday and it’s been a very busy week at Next Steps.
On Wednesday, our lovely Joe had a visit from the BBC to talk about the Cat Show Live initiative of getting 100 cats adopted.

We took in the long suffering partner (fondly named) litter as we had previously offered space for them back in August.

Arlo had his dental and was playing like a kitten late last night - he must be feeling a lot better, which is great news! It was almost a full tooth extraction due to how sore his mouth was but we will keep doing our best by him.

Saffron’s remaining kitten is doing well and gaining weight. She is in the photos today.

We are low on food and a few spays this week and Arlo’s dental mean we are still back in a rubbish situation but we are ploughing on and the cat show live will hopefully boost some funds.

🎂It’s my birthday so I have kept it shorter today than our normal posts as Mini Rescued has insisted that she gets up early today.

Yes - more GINGERS😳😮

These guys have just arrived after their stray mum gave birth and took them into someone’s home in August.

They are named after the long suffering partners of some of the team - Gary, Rob, Sam and Beth.

They are being assessed and are a little shy at the moment.

They are NOT available for adoption yet and we will not reply to any enquiries about them.

🧡Roger 🧡

Roger was found in a bush, soaking wet with flu symptoms around around 5 weeks ago. He’s now doing really well and looking for his forever home. He’s around 14 weeks old, and very very loving and playful. He loves to face bump your face, rub his face alongside yours and follow you around.
Roger’s baby incisors don’t align properly at the moment but do not cause him any issues. We don’t know if this will be the case when his adult teeth come through. So he may or may not need treatment on this later on. Any treatment that may be required on his adult incisors will be covered by the rescue.
Roger needs a home with another friendly cat or kitten.

‼️ WARNING- people in Shrewsbury

There is an individual who sells kittens too young to leave mum, maybe not even eating and we get offered them sometimes but asked for money.
Unfortunately we cannot fuel drug habits or the selling of kittens as horrible as this is.

It has been reported.

Please do not buy kittens too young and if you do - take them to the vets or a rescue. Don’t watch them die.
