What an awful weekendš
Please help if you can.
Meet little Koa (Hawaiian for brave) who is 3 weeks old.
This little one is fighting for her life in the emergency vets due to severe flea anaemia. Unfortunately her gums are very pale and her temperature was low when she arrived at the vets.
We have hospitalised her with fluids, heat, oxygen and we will do a blood transfusion if this is needed. All of her siblings have unfortunately passed away.
We are hopeful and praying she will be ok but at the moment we just have to see how she responds.
As her mum had stopped feeding her a couple of days ago and there had been attempted feeding with milk we wouldnāt recommend, we have made the decision to separate them for now as mum herself is anaemic and is also poorly. Once antibiotics have started to work and she has been flea treated, she should be absolutely fine. Mum is in our care.
As we have had to use the out of hours vet, we have already spent nearing £1000. Our consult and 50% deposit is in the screen shot which we have already paid.
We really need to fundraise to help little Koa. She deserves a chance as she has survived to 3 weeks so far.
Please donate if you can for Koa.
We would really appreciate your support.

Please donāt be unkind or judgemental in the comments as the owner reached out to for us help. The main focus is now educating people. We are advising and will support the owner with neutering and flea treating any other animals.
If this post encourages one person to neuter their female cat, then thatās more kittens saved. Itās all fine until something goes wrong and then it can be absolutely devastating.
Safe flea treatments include anything prescribed at the vets or advocate and advantage plus a drontal wormer.
Please reach out to us if you need help. We will do the best we can.
