HOW IT ALL BEGAN
We are a small outfit consisting of two horse and animal lovers with a multitude of skills and a passion to share our information, and help others whether you have two legs or four.
The team consists of Chris Bradley and Sarah Kilsby and our collection of waifs and strays this consists of 5 horses, 2 dogs and a handful of ex battery chickens all with their own unique histories and challenges whether that be mental, physical or a combination of both. We have learnt more from the gang than most books could tell you!! So we have experienced and dealt with a whole range of “issues” to the best of our abilities. Don't be afraid to ask us as there is no such thing as a stupid question!
Chris started riding at an early age although late by some standards(7/8 yrs) at an Army saddle club based in Germany and on returning to the UK various schools around the country up to about age 12/13. On leaving school after GCSEs Chris joined the Royal Military Police with the intention of joining the Mounted Troop, sadly whilst serving abroad Defence cutbacks resulted in the disbandment of the Troop and subsequently normal military life took over. On returning the UK he started riding again and on leaving the Army was employed by Kingston Riding Center as working pupil and after successfully achieving his AI certificate returned to Norfolk and worked in a number of local riding establishments as well as freelancing around the county and surrounds. Chris has competed in dressage and showjumping has done cross country and jump cross training, has ridden sidesaddle and western, had some classical training in Portugal and competed against the Cavalry in tent pe***ng, and is currently training under Heather Moffett.
Sarah also started riding as a child and has a passion for Highland ponies as these are what she learnt to ride on at small local old school riding stables. Sarah had a break for 5 ish years whilst attending university and starting work. The horse bug didn't go away and she began riding again with lessons in local riding schools (where we met!)and moving on to a loan horse. Sarah’s venture into holistic therapies came about initially as a result of one of our horses having had a serious breathing condition that was unable to be identified and was not responding well to the normal line of veterinary treatments and thus ZOOPHARMACOGNOSY was discovered and 7 years down the line our horse is still here and the condition is being managed with minimal vet assistance. Her next step on the holistic path came as a result of a severe back problem that again was not responding well to conventional medicine and a chance meeting on one of her many CPD courses resulted in a considerably reduced problem and a passion for alternative therapies including REIKI/ENERGY work and KINESIOLOGY to name but a few.
