Little Miss Mabel 🐶 had her groom today ✂️🚿🫧🧼...and I got her happy ears (pointy up ears 🤣) easily and while she was on the table 🤣🥰 it was also my last walk with Pika 🐶 for the summer 😢 I'll miss him but I'll see him in September 💙

***Awareness Post***

We've had two requests to search for dogs recently. Sadly they've drowned and at this time of year they have resurfaced before we could get there, leaving their owners with a traumatic task of recovering them.

There are a number of breeds that CANT SWIM or are POOR SWIMMERS. They can sink very quickly and with best efforts to save them it is often not possible.

You rarely get a second chance with water.

Your dog may never have shown an interest in water, or may just paddle. But dogs are instinct reactive and it only takes one accident.

Please don't take the risk. Please keep breeds that are known to be poor swimmers on a lead near water. At least then you have a chance of saving them.

Some of the breeds most known that can't swim/poor swimmers and most at risk are...

• French Bulldogs
• English Bulldogs
• Pocket Bully's
• Pugs
• Dachshunds
• Boxers
• Shih Tzu's
• Basset Hounds
• Corgi's
• Maltese

I took advantage of having some spare time today and completed the online Oral and Dental Health in Dogs and Cats course I signed up for a little while ago. It was really informative and highlights the importance of dental health with regards to the rest of the body and other conditions they can develop 🐶🐱🦷👅

💕😢🌈Today apparently is Pet Rememberance Day 🌈😢💕 Let's spread the love for those pets we no longer have but will always remember ❤️ Pickle Pants 🐰 was my number 1 and a huge part of my life for 12 years but I also had when I was younger 2 budgies called Bubble and Squeak 🐦🐦 and I remember being so upset when they passed away too 😢

I finished looking after Barney 🐶 this evening, it really does benefit him staying in his own home 🏡 He is so relaxed and content 💙 It also means I'm there to water plants 🪴, look after the fish 🐟 and sort the tank out, put out the bins/ get them in and keep an eye on things around the house 🏠 Having a pet sitter isn't suitable for everyone or everyone's pets but it definitely works best for some 🥰
