Be aware of this grass species

As summer begins and you head out to your favourite hiking trails with your dog, here's a potential hazard to be aware of 🥾☀️

During the spring, this plant is green, and as we progress into the warmer months, the seeds begin to dry up, creating a sharp head that can easily pe*****te your pets' skin. Not only is this painful and irritable, but the seeds don't break down inside the body, and an embedded foxtail can lead to a severe infection for your dog. The easiest way to prevent foxtail problems is to keep your dog out of overgrown, grassy areas and should you find one on your dog, contact your vet immediately or find your nearest out-of-hours Vets Now clinic. 🌿

URGENT FOSTER REQUIRED

Basil is an 8 year okd friendly Wire Haired Fox Terrier who was adopted earlier this year.
He was soon discovered to have epilepsy which is now controlled with medication.
Yesterday Basil went for the resident dog out of the blue. We think he is possibly feeling very unwell and need to get him vet checked as soon as possible but he cannot stay in his current home as the other dog is now terrified of him.
Is there an adult only, pet free home which is having a very quiet Christmas who can foster him?
We will pay for all medication and vet costs.
Need to be able to get him to Trowbridge or Frome vets for appointments.

Today is National Pet Remembrance Day and we would like to remember those dogs that came into our care and spent their remaining days with us who have passed away in the last 12 months.

Just... offers complete high quality diets with single source protein and without chemical preservatives, artificial flavours or colours. Just food does NOT contain wheat, soya or dairy products. Just food DOES contain a joint support package & live probiotics for a healthy digestive system.

We believe in Just... Dog food. We are proud of it. Just... is a simple formula, using high quality ingredients without the unnecessary fillers found in so many pet foods. The dogs & cats we have served during the last 12 years enjoy their food & many of our customers recommend Just... to their friends & family.

Just... is delivered in 5kg or 13.5kg bags. We are very pleased to say that all bags are brown paper sacks with an inner layer of corn starch, NO PLASTIC! These bags are completely compostable & rot down within a few weeks in your compost bin or in landfill. This is a real step forward for us and means we are a leader in the green dog food stakes.

By the way - the price of all JUST... diets is less than you would expect. We have a philosophy of charging fair prices, not “as much as we can get away with”(like the multinationals appear to). So for a 20 kilo dog, it would only cost about 60p. per day to feed!!! That’s a lower cost than most cheap and nasty supermarket products. It is certainly lower than other super-premium brands which can cost up to about £3 per day for a 30 kilo dog.
